They can't bat on a proper pitch so they want to roll us out with that crap pitch. OMFG that pitch had more cracks than a crack-whore.
 
why u guys blaming the pitch?

we have batsmen who can play ball dont we?

see the thing is we need to able to play on any surface

instead of going out looking for runs we decided to block which gave the indians confidence

stupid play by prince and south africa

why is prince in our team again?

Not sure that anyone will be able to answer that. :(

Anyway, a drawn series in India, is nothing to be ashamed of. I think our hopes were high after the second test, and we're disappointed with the final result.

Remember that it took a dire pitch for india to scrape a drawn series at home - that's nothing to be proud of.

I didn't (thankfully) see much of the game on Sunday. Got into my car at about 12:00, and turned on radio 2000, first name I heard was Steyn's. :eek: OMFG, either he's bowling (bad) or he's batting (much worse). Turned out he was batting, though not for much longer.

seems strange to me to go after the one batsman who tried to do what should have been done. goes to show with a bit application we should have done better.

C'mon...Nothing wrong with the pitch. Both teams had the same conditions. India bat last and faired better than we did a short just a while earlier. The fact is we cannot spin the ball and we cannot play against good spin. We are to used to the "Airfield runways" prepared in South Africa, thats our downfall we need a good pitch to bat and bowl we do not have bowling geniuses like Fanie and Shane Warn as well as the Indian spin King.
 
But Indians are used to that cabbage patches. We're not. I don't think any team should play on that junk. I saw balls rolling through to the keeper wtf? I was shocked at the state of the pitch.

merc i disagree with this man

we fielded a strong team

a team capable of beating india

South africa always choke in series, all we need was a draw and i think south africa went out thinking they could block the game to a draw

instead of going out and playing confident shots and looking to score we decided to block :)

blocking will only make india bring all their fielders up and hit you over after over with spinners

hit out spread the field make india worry about runs as opposed to wickets

Ok, but can you honestly say that Prince deserves his place in the team? Surely JP should be there. Prince has done buggerall for a bloody long time now.
 
jp is not white is he? if he is white then damn the quota's because prince has nothing on jp

personally i think jp should play in all our games

he is as talented as jonty and i love him, think he is one of the most talented players we have in terms of new upcoming players
