At least Will Jacks is still singing the company tune. 3rd ball tries an extravagent reverse sweep, missed. Goes again 5th ball and nails it. That a boy!
 
In a weird way, how this match has gone argues for bazball...England, by and large, have played standard cricket and have still been behind the game throughout.

It's not a good argument (we lost but at least it took longer, lol) but they were never in with a shout at all. Their bowling is too loose for extended periods and their batting line-up hasn't coped with the accuracy and pressure of the Aussies.

They'll probably win the next series with a different sort of attack in English conditions but it won't be the hiding they're getting here.

They haven't picked traditional "test" cricketers, they've picked bazballers. And the proper cricketers they've picked have been indoctrinated with bazball (see Brook's dismissal). It's not just a case of flipping a switch and playing differently today, it's a whole approach to take test cricket seriously and respect the game.

Let me illustrate. In their current innings Eng had actually played almost properly for 50 overs - fast bowlers were tiring, Head was having a bowl, pitch was docile, runs were coming freely and then Brook gets bowled trying a reverse sweep off a quality spinner.

They may well be. While I'm exuberant about the series win, I do not rejoice at the state of a once proud cricketing nation. There are great cricketers in that team, and they're having their careers put at risk by a cult of personality. No wonder there's disunity in the team.

I also blame commentators like Athers and Hussain who took forever to acknowledge this, and now act as if they were against the bazball concept all along. As for Broad doubling down on his pre-tour comments, the man is no more than a limp dick at this stage.

Nothing broad said is incorrect. This is the worse aus side since 2010. The fact that England were so poor that they couldn't take advantage of it doesn't make his comments invalid.

Nasser & Athers are blinded cause of their friendship with key.
 
If a SA sports coach said this, I'd be pissed.
