CRICKET: Nashua Cape Cobras supporters thread!

Agreed, but let's not forget Gibbs, as per usual, he didn't even look like he gave a damn, I mean, the okes off to play for the Indian cricket league and then off too a country club in England, the okes sorted, doesn't need to play his heart out for some 'cape' club.

This game was PERFECT for him... PERFECT!

When he came in to bat, the crowd behind me went crazy, YAY its Gibbs, all I could do was think "don't hold your breath"

Maybe thats just me being angry but I'm sick of watching him and his low scores, it's also in his body language, he just irratates me.

Yeah, I don't think JP hit one good shot out of the meat of the bat all innings. Still, he did enough to get us close enough to winning. We should just have punished all those loopy lollipop full-tosses towards the end.

TBH, I've stopped liking Gibbs for a long time now. He is arrogant and underperforms more than often.

Don't get too excited, he only does that 'now' and 'again' - you will get more low scores than high ones, unless of cause you pay him enough and can keep him outta the pubs!

You didn't do well at all in the MTN series and I can say the same for your performance in the Pro20 so I don't expect to hear anything amazing about you while you're in the IPL or in Glamorgan.

Nashua Cape Cobras coach, Shukri Conrad has announced his team to play in their first Supersport Series game of the season against the Gestetner Diamond Eagles at De Beers Diamond Oval in Kimberly from 2 - 5 October.

I am quite bleak the first home Cobras 20/20 game is only on the 14th of December...still such a long time to wait...*sigh*. Supersport series games are dead boring.

But the reason there are so few games at Newlands is because the 'new' grass is being laid etc.

It's supposed to be done November / December'ish.

Big win for the Cobras today, beating the Titans by 101 runs :eek:
When the Cobras were 55/3 including Gibbs back in the pavillion I thought it game over already, but they ended up with 208 runs. Duminy and Ontong both got 50s.
The Titans only managed 107 in 27.1 overs. Claude Henderson got 4 for 25 in 6 and Rory Kleinveldt got 3 for 24 in 6.1.
Cobras got 5 points in this game :D
