Shhhhhhhh guys!!!!!!
just a quick question, when they show that red line to show if a ball was gonna hit the stumps or go over it, in an LBW decision does the variable bounce come into effect. i mean that ground has some cracks in it so there is no telling how the ball will respond.

hit full on the pads with the ball looking to hit somewhere between off and middle? it was definitely out. don't know what angle you have where you think he might not have been out.
unless you are asking because you read somewhere he should not have been out.
Hawkeye looks at the way it proceeded to the point of hitting the pads and projects the rest.... not always 100% of course but the decision is not based on that anyway. The few centimetres it travels before hitting the pads should already have factored in the variable bounce.
ok thanks, it has bugged me because of the cracks in the wicket so the ball could actually go anywhere really.
impressed we've knocked off the runs in a day as well
