I see SA with a 1st innings lead of around 80-100. England 2nd innings no more than 320 leaving us a target of around 220-240 which might be challenging if we lose our openers cheaply and expose the middle order to the new ball but failing that Smith and co should knock that total off for 3 or 4.....
ooooh...:D

nothing like that i just switched over and caught the highlights of the 5 wickets and on his one he went down and the ball hit him but i did not see where and he was given out. i saw him swear afterwards.

I believe they complained about the sidescreen earlier because it doesn't come all the way down... Flintoff's block-hole deliveries were apparently very difficult to see because of his height and the fact that they leave his hand from the top of the motion... so he was prolly cross because they had struggled with this and complained in vain...

so do we still hate mickey arthur?
Yip, he's a fu cking donkey!!! I will never rate him. This team is full of talent and potential, if Jennings were coaching I honestly and sincerely believe they would be dominating world cricket like OZ has for the last 15-20 years...

Damn doesn't take much for this thread to turn to all doom and gloom does it? You talked about the English press flip flopping yesterday... :)

These things happen in cricket. One great player and another desperate to keep his place in the team get together and put on a great partnership. I am sure our guys were trying yo "just get those wickets quickly". If sure they would have wanted to get the last wickets in one over! It is sometimes easier said than done. When our guys put on a 200 run partnership is it because the England team were not trying to get them out or because they applied themselves and batted well?

We can still easily take this one... few quick wickets today and then get in and put together some nice partnerships..

hmmm...per cricinfo No team has chased more than 208 at Edgbaston. would love to win the series by correcting that stat

2xhmmmm: The highest fourth-innings total at Edgbaston is 279. The best in a successful chase is 211 for 3, a total which South Africa will have to beat to secure a 2-0 series lead.

Seems those record keepers are going to be needing to change a few stats! :)

Actually just posted this to say I told you so but that is just so childish!! ha ha ha
