Yip, KP must be feeling the pressure now!!! Apparently Sky news broke from regular programming when it was publicly announced that KP would captain England.... No pressure... This is going to be a very severe test of his character, never mind a 5 day test against high flying SA... You think Saffers are fickle fans, try the English...

He really is being thrown into the deep end. I think it would've been better for him to first captain the ODI team for a couple of matches, and then see how that goes.

Its a much faster pitch than the others. Looks quite fast on telly.

Steyn would have been awesome on this pitch. Hoping Morkel can push the 90's.

Early lunch it is then. Bit of rain, hopefully it does not spoil the day.

Another 50 stand for Smith and Mac. They are fast becoming out best opening partnership in history.
