And now our cricket team are booed away from home as well. Rugby and cricket. I would boo our football team if I didnt have such low expectations of them from the outset. Who is next?

No class...

Geez these English supporters have no class booing like that. F'ing ingrates

As if the English team has never played so poorly in the past.

Well I guess who I will be supporting in next years Ashes.

Come on Aussies 5-0 please.

Who said it was English supporters? With the amount of South Africans in England, it's very likely that it was them booing. :D

I couldn't bothered either way, it was a shocking performance. Things have really gone downhill since the test series win. :(

Was definitely not English supporters - it just makes no sense why they would be upset...

What a monumental fail by the Proteas.

Eish, I'm hoping for us to come back 2-2 in the next couple of matches and then maybe another cracker like the 438 game to clinch the series 3-2. :D

It's possible okay...

Maybe they thought they werent getting there moneys worth because the game ended so early

Do you always jump to conclusions? Perhaps you're just upset. I would bet that it was the SA supporters booing. After all the booing on Sat in the rugby as well, it seems to be a national past time.

This will like be there first series win against "decent" opposition in years.

In the ''Kobus objects to booing of Boks'' thread I said booing the national team was in bad taste and uncalled for but to be quite frank if I was at Trent Bridge today I would have booed that performance. It was quite possibly the worst ever performance by a South African national cricket team... If ever a team earned their right to be booed off the field it was South Africa today... That was shocking...

According to the record books the worst defeat was 69 all out in 28 overs against Australia at Sydney in December 1993.

We weren't the #2 ODI side in the world back then.

TBH they seem to have become complacent after winning the 4th test. Hope this was a wake up call.

It seems to have rather touched a nerve with you for you to use the sarcastic smiley - nice.

I have my doubts it was South Africans booing.

Do you ever read the 606 forums on the BBC, if not you should read it - very entertaining. It is just one example of the mindset of a certain portion of the English supporter.

HAHA!! Ok, sorry I was just trying to get a rise out of the die-hard test fans with my little chirp about the "colonial" game in the 21st century. ;)

Yep...utterly pathetic performance today and I was annoyed with Friday's performance. Worst of all I had to listen to a lot of the game on radio 2000 coz I was drivng. The bloody snooty Englishman on commentary...argh. Don't know his name but he sure helped rub salt in the wound. I swore a lot in my car today.

I was lucky enough to be at the 438 game at Wanderers (albeit under a heavy veil of draught beer) and damn, all I can say is I'm glad I was at that game and not today's.

I reckon they can redeem themselves by taking the series otherwise we'll never hear the end of it from England.

Nope I've not had the pleasure, but I don't need to when I can get it right here.
