SA are very rusty ATM, particularly the bowlers and I fear the worst when we go down under. AUS just came off a heavy defeat, which will probably make them want to destroy us even more than they already do.

nah, I reckon we'll do OK.

Their players who had a "mental edge" over us are all gone.
Now they're just normal, like England...

Problem is we just came back from a long break and are rusty, whereas AUS have been playing for a while. Probably not the best time to be playing them. We need real practice or risk performing the worst against AUS this time around...

You read to much beeld :p:D

I do agree that we are rusty and should have played against some stronger teams. Also some of our players will be playing in an indian tournament just before the tour, and on top of that we are only playing one warm up game in Aus before the series starts

I don't think we had enough and competent practice before taking on the giants. I hope we do well...

Yay my team won!! they beat the best!!!
Good for the Proteas, they might have a chance know with the low morale the Aussies are feeling, but then again the Aussies might bounce back and completely annihilate the Proteas....:)

Poor Ponting getting so much stick for this loss, his 2nd test loss in 48 tests!!!:eek::eek:

I think the Aussies will hit back hard and we might find the wrath is just too good for us!! Especially now that , we have hired the specialist, Duncan Ferguson. The specialist at white-washes!!! ;)

Our bowling looks a bit thin. Only 4 full timers and 1 all rounder... But the pitch was requested to be a green monster IIRC, thus we will 10 -1 need only the 4 pace men.

I dont think they will do too badly. If u hit the right place on the pitch theres some nice movement

Think we are trying to bat and bat only once :D

Also starting slow and then pounding them is not a bad iddea, IMO

Yep, it shows that they're taking the game seriously.
Should be on 330 /3 by close though.
Still 66 overs left to get around 270 runs.
(Unless Kallis bats for a long time)

Or... they could try and bat at 4 per over and bat for 1.5 days and post a massive total and wrap up the game in a few days. Seriously, if they don't improve over the next few days, the Aussies are gonna cream them.
