May i ask what experience means right now? We need to go out and score at 4-5 to the over, if anything kallis will block 9 of 10 deliveries he receives instead of attacking most deliveries, this is not the time for a kallis 100 off 350 balls. This is a time for a fast duminy, de villiers 100 and a 6 hitting boucher innings. We need to reach their score by end of play tomorrow. We could really do with a 400-450 run day, in 90 overs i don't think that is to much to ask
.
Test matches are not won with both sides of the wicket going wild. With boundaries comes risk, you need someone to play an anchor role yet at the sametime not get fixed into that mode permanently. The biggest criticism of Kallis has always been the same, he is always in anchor mode or at least thats how it was. Things have changed quite a bit since the last Wc? when this fact was prodded by everyone and he has played with more risk however.. in a lot of his innings if you watch he now either goes like a kamazi and it pays off or doesn't at all more often than not.
I dunno.. it just sucks that we have someone like kallis who is quite good but rarely dependable when the chips are down. That's where smith again excels.
Looks like we going to hope for a miracle or a draw.. I don't get the McKensie inclusion for the final test when they shipped off a replacement for him/smith, i mean sure, new guy will be tough opening even but heck shove kallis up the order then where wearing the ball out would be a good thing
[-]lastly whats with devilliers not really performing well lately? i guess its the debut shine wearing off
I think a follow on would be a good thing but i doubt aussies will take it if its up because batting last on the pitch is going to suck. So no point getting out early besides kallis + mckensie aren't really going to suddenly score big are they?
