Hmm, yes. Don't see Bangladesh beating us - although it has happened in both the previous world cups isn't it? Hope WI beats them.

Hopefully we can win our last 2 matches. That should see us finish 1st in our group. West Indies have 2 tough fixtures left, England and India. They unlikely to win both but if they beat England, England are going home!! If they lose to India, India finishes 2nd SA 1st, WI 3rd and Bangladesh 4th..

Love to see a small side go through to the QF's. gives the tournament a bit of flavour instead of always the big boys getting through. It would mean so much to them too.

Bangladesh have got a better than 50% chance of making it. West Indies knock over England and they are in, no if and buts about it.

EDIT: A tie or abandoned due to bad weather fixture though and England on the back of a better net run rate will progress..

The system sucks. There has been far too many mis-matches between the minnows and the stronger teams. Ireland beating England has been only shock so far.


Can one imagine having a world cup without SA vs AUS ? There are too many pointless games, rather have a league system with top four going on to semi's and then perhaps a 3legged final.

which was more spectacular? Pakistan conceding 100 of their last 5 overs or India losing 9 wickets for 29 runs?
 
Well, we are playing the "weaker" teams now. So they might give the rest of the players more time out.
 
I thought that they would rest AB, get him fit for the knock-outs.

What is the actual story with AB and the runner (Amla) on Saturday? Did he ask for a runner because of cramps or his back strain?
The way I understand the rules, you can have a runner for cramps with the opposing captain's consent. Runner if injured during game, and NO runner for an injury brought into the game. That means that AB wouldn't have been allowed a running for his back injury.
I missed it during the game, but I was reading somewhere that the indians fans make some comments about AB being allowed a runner.

Nevermind, just read the News24 report that it is a thigh injury.

Probably a niggle. Reports suggest a problem with his thigh.

They must STFU. The cheating pricks played Raina as a fielder for most of the match, as they have done throughout the tournament.
