Unfortunately that's not true. It's a team sport. Not an individual one. It's not like saying Andy Murry should have a GS trophy.
 
i hope india take it now.. Gary Kirsten will become our coach and it'll help knowing that someone in our team is capable of winning a world cup. India vs Sri Lanka final.
 
I seriously think that every single one of you is overlooking the fact that NZ fielded exceptionally well, and we had a few mishaps in our fielding. Thus they deserved to win? NZ was just the better team at the time.

Agree!!. BTW SA didn't loose today because they choked - they've lost because on the day NZ was better

I don't think any solid cricket fan really thought we were going to win the World Cup. We complained about the absence of Albie, and it has come back to haunt us. Smith should definitely go, he's not a good ODI player, but Kallis has earned the right to play for us until he retires, whenever that may be. Amla should be the captain for the ODI side, if not for both sides. Smith has failed to beat his last three test series at home, and that's a failure we shouldn't tolerate.

No I used that before to defend them. Today they lost it, NZ didn't win it. At 115/2 chasing 220 you're cruising to victory.
 
I don't care how well NZ fielded,we shoul not have lost at 108/2.Stop making excuses

Agree fully. Amla doesn't want captaincy though. Make Duminy captain? :S It will sound right in most circles and could give us long lasting consistency.

Not too fond of India as team at all , nothing wrong with their talent, they are just waaaay too cocky on the field. even arrogant.

Duminy can barely keep himself composed under pressure, how will he keep an entire team composed?

I'm sorry but yes, to lose a game against New Zealand when you are at 100/2 and need 120 to win is throwing it away. Stupid shot selections and a stupid runout. The wickets started to fall and we went into our patented deer in the headlights mode.

Agreed. In that case give it to Botha. He seems to be the best option out there at the moment, even if he doesn't want it initially - it's worth convincing him.
