The single red rose while i appreciate the sentiment is a little bit gay. I suggest you just take her to a nice restaurant with a romantic ambience and trust me she will get the drift

Way over the top! All the rest was cool though. Champagne - real Champagne from France - I say is ok but the rose thing all pre-arranged - stalker-ish.
(You can get real bubbly at Checkers, Woolies and PnP these days for about R300 -yellow lable Veuve Clic.- and take it with - no need to pay R900 for the same stuff at the restaurant).

Personally I wouldn't even take her to dinner. Just visit her at home or have her to your house. Save dinner for when the air is clear between you. But that might not be good advice, it's just the way I'd do it.
I'd tell her I wanted to speak to her about something. Then I'd sit down and say...you know, the other night I don't know if you remember but you said a lot of things. Etc, etc... Then if it goes well that would be a good time to take her to a romantic dinner. You should be direct and transparent - that to me is the most mature and reassuring way of handling it. But take it how you want.

I just think by saying you want to speak to her about something it adds a lot of pressure where there doesn't mean to be. Taking her out for dinner is at least a little more casual and the subject is allowed to come up over dinner.

yeah maybe you're right.... I guess just in principle keep it as natural and unpressured as possible. I'd think dinner would be more pressure but you're a woman so you probably have a better perspective hey
