Think I have finally have these vega cards sorted.

They seem to ignore the min fan speed value that I enter, and keeps on switching off the fans, because core temp is below 60c. Through mining increases HBM temp, hence I have min fan rpm value.

I lowered the target temp to 55c, this tends keep fans running.

Currently the 3 cards are doing 23 usd a day combined. ROI is 4.3 months, but shorter for me as I have few paid off rigs combining my total earnings.

I finally found main reason why devil 13 vega cards gave me issues. No matter what you set min fan speed, it basically just ignores it as it has setting built in which switch the fan off if the core is below 60c. The core does not get hot with this massive cooler mining cryptoknight, but the hbm memory needs the cooling. So I set target temp to 45c , which seems to have solved the problem!

Does the target temp not affect throttling performance of the card? I kind of got the impression on my nvidia cards that in addition to the fans spinning up some internal throttling was taking place, but didn't dig too deeply into that.

Target temp is just tell the card what temp you want core to be at this will adjust fan speed according. Yeah it might throttle core to keep at that temp also, through not much worried about core speed atm.

The vega cards throttle because of HBM temps, but fan speed does not adjust according to HBM temps.

I really wish the min fan speed set actually worked, would solve my issue. But no info on internet as it seems not much people have these cards yet.

GTX glad to hear you got your Vega's sorted out.

For whoever is struggling with Vega's follow these guides.

Mining Cryptonight (ETN / Monero) with a Vega 56 card you will get 1920h/s (undervolted it only draws 140W) per card which is awesome.

My Vega rig has been running stable for months and I feel the Vega 56's are the best performing mining cards out there with great ROI.
Pity there is no local stock of Vega's anywhere at the moment.

Indeed I used the same guide, I don't push my cards as hard as in the guide. I only use 1800 intensity on both threads. Never got got 2016/1800 stable or 1932/1932

So my rig updated. Thanks to windows and lost all my driver's. I reinstalled them again and patched them. All is working well. However MSI afterburner is not recognizing my cards. I have to use Sapphire Trixx. Anybody get afterburner to work after latest updates and drivers ?

Maybe a sill question, would it be a good idea to use risers on a 4 x 1080ti rig? or is it risky?

Why would it be risky? Just make sure you power them with a molex and not the sata cable.

I myself have a 4x 1080ti rig.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about the limitations of the risers.

How are the earnings with 4 x 1080ti's?

Better than any other card out there :D
I don't really want to name numbers as you will earn differently according to what you mine, but on NH it's been around R105 on avg per card per day.

Edit. Right now it's pumping again :)

But, avg for me on the 1080s is 105ish a day per card.
It does better a day than my 6x 1070 rigs

From coinbase to luno only cost me R200, not bad at all.

From NH wallet to coinbase is free.

I saw NH upped their fees to 0.001 which currently is also around R200

On coinbase, what can you move out without having to go through verification?
