Cryptocurrency Mining

Hi everyone. I am urgently looking for good No dev fee Blissz firmware for my Antminer D3. Please help me out. I will very much appreciate it. Thanks a mil in advance. J

1) Flash Blissz firmware and configure it
2) Download WinSCP and connect to your miner with that.
3) Grab the /config/cgminer.conf file and disconnect WinSCP
4) Flash the stock firmware
5) Connect again using WinSCP
5) Push the cgminer.conf file you grabbed in step 3) to the /conf folder and overwrite the one that's there
6) Reboot the miner

You won't have the UI for all the settings but your settings (fan and power) should stick just fine.

That's pretty clever. I am not a techy but I follow and understand the logic. Will try it. Thanks.

It should be easy. Just remember if you plan on editing and saving the .conf file on your Windows PC, use an editor other than notepad (such as Notepad++) to avoid corrupting the line endings for Linux. Shout if you're stuck.

If anybody has mining hosting or know off one in cpt let me know.

Looking for one where I have control of miners and pay fixed rate or pay per KWH, most in cpt takes like 20% profit and have pay elec and they don't mine the best coins for my rigs.

Regards

Bitcoin miners just took about a 12% odd hit in earnings with the latest difficulty adjustment of 14.71% increase, biggest jump since Jan

I've never understood why people or companies rent out miners. Surely they'll make more profit mining for themselves. Or how does it work? Do you pay a big once off fee?

They aren't renting out miners, they are renting out space. Fixed (and probably lower) power costs, airconditioned rooms etc.

Search for a guy by the name Dibzzz on Carbonite. I know he used to rent out space in a warehouse. Not sure if he still does.

He does his website is newmint.co.za
Well, with my 1070 rigs I'd loose more hosting it on his premises even though I pay 2.34 per kW. Would probably make sense if I wouldn't have the capacity to host the rigs myself.

Do they all collect 20% profit?

Yep 20% hence I am not hosting there as they pool everything together. They don't mine the best coins for amd rigs also.

How do you guys work out the running costs for electricity? EG, do you say 2.34 x 1.2 (if the consumption of the PSU 1200w) = 2.80 cost per hour. 2.80 x 24 hrs a day = R67.20 pday x 30d for average month = R2016 odd per month in electricity?

I have db board with meter build in just for my rigs.

If you dont have such a thing...is what I posted correct, or am I missing something?
No you need watt meter to see how much your rig is using first. If it says 800watt then 0.8 x 24 to see how much units it would use a day then you can work out the price.

So even if you have a 1800w power supply, it does not use 1800w, it can use less if that is what is needed by the hardware?
If a miner uses a 1800w power supply, but the hardware says it uses 1200w, then does it only draw 1200w even though its on a 1800w supply?
