Dont give up! Keep them.

I had more than a bit coin a long time ago and sold them for 7K a coin and I paid around 3K for it. I regret it badly , I could have had over 40K in my pocket !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you want to know what I bought with my Bitcoin payout ? a stupid nespresso coffee machine and few other things I cant even remember.

That is my plan, but I’m starting to doubt my ICO contributions. I think many ICOs are suddenly below target... I don't think that I will invest more into mining, until there is certainty. I also see my Scrypt contracts has suddenly lost their value…

That's why I prefer owning hardware, it's a ballache to maintain sometimes, but at least you can sell it when things go tits up :D

But the hackers spare no one. It's not a directed attack only on crypto currency. There is just lots of new money there. The payoff is big if they succeed. Unless you saying you believe it's a campaign only against crypto.

Yes, but it has a severe impact on day-to-day trading where the medium is wholly digital. Confidence needs to be high. Bitfinex was hit yesterday and that is where many 'new' currencies are traded.

My plan is not to buy any cryptocurrency at all. I bought kit to do mining (a single GPU) and use that to generate cryptocurrency which I could convert into other currencies if I want to.

So, if it all tanks, I have lost essentially the electricity that I've put in over the last few months.

The big question is whether this correction may have an impact on sustainable mining. People spent a lot on rigs, and will be bargaining to sell them at a greater return. This is also whether it is temporary...

Still look good for now.

Just logged in now, rigs are doing 27usd a day. Was doing 15usd a day when I started in may. I planned around 15usd a day when I bought my rigs so anything more than 15 usd a day is good for me.

Remember, once things go balls up, you cannot add hash rates as value to an GPU which may not be profitable. Once the manufactures push their next production cycle, or when AMD and NVidia goes-to-market with an ‘mining’ product, the resale values will return to normal as they will balance out the demand between target markets. If you make a profit, then yes, it is best to own the hardware.

Which is good, your operation is sustainable, and you have set your own target which is budgeting. Clever, no get rich quick or die trying scheme.

How many rigs do you have doing 27 a day?
