Great stuff. Are you going to produce a few to sell and if so, do you know more or less what you will ask per frame?

Haven't gotten quotes back yet :/ But I was toying with the idea of selling a few here and there to get some more [-]beer[/-] vodka money seeing how I spent it all on my rig :p

So my other 3 1070's that I ordered on Amazon arrived yesterday afternoon and after some motherboard bios flashing I still could get 2 of the 6 cards working properly. Finally I read on the net that with the mobo I have there a special bios setting for crypto mining that is disabled by default. Enabling it sorted it out eventually.

Anyway, the point of this post is a bit of a rant with a question at the end of it all. So I ordered a wooden rig case from leetpro, and to be honest I am less than thrilled with it. As seen in the picture below the cards don't sit flush and have to be cable tied to hold them in place. I would really prefer having them sit flush and be able to put a screw in to secure it all. That is my biggest issue with it, the other is that I feel it could be a bit bigger for a 6 card system which would allow for bigger spacing between cards and as a result better airflow. Now the question to all those running 6 card systems... What are you doing for cases? Are you buying them from somewhere or are you making them yourselves?

This sort of shoddy crap is exactly why I didn't buy from Leetpro. If I wanted put together pieces of wood where the **** doesn't even line up nicely, I would unleash myself and make my own rig LOL.

edit: and what was the setting in the motherboard bios??

Please keep me posted when you have a price. Will the frame be the same as you used in your own rig? If so, could you post some pics.

My current rig is also a pre-made job that I think is less than good, which is why I decided to design something better. All my drinking money has gone into the second rig which I'll use the new frame with...

I can post screenshots tonight. My goal was to make something where the user could decide if they wanted to bolt everything on (like a normal PC), go ghetto and cable tie everything or something in-between.

See, like how the heck?! The GPUs can't even be level because then the risers would be hanging in the air, and you have to guess how much to space them, zero space to add fans (which you'll need with SA summers) etc etc

Summer has already got me sweating. Dunno what I'm gonna do. Will have to be air conditioning. But the price.

My next rig will be my own ghetto creation. With provisions for a bank of fans. And a shelf to rest the risers on.

My friend, seems to me you have the GPUs fitted the wrong way around.

Damn. How hot are they running? And no backplates? Rx cards must run hotter than gtx.

Very neat though. I smaak it. How much you get paid today?

Running between 60 and 70 degrees. Haven't played with fan profiles yet though, will do so this evening and see what I come up with. The superclocked black edition cards don't come with backplates.

Thanks man. Payout was just over R1.5k with 3 1070's as the other 3 only arrived last night. Will have to see what it does this next week. But at the moment it is running at about USD30 a day without heavy overclock.

The other way around doesn't work either though. The cable for the riser sits on the crossbar at just the wrong place and puts way to much pressure on the riser usb port. With the card sitting on it like that for an extended period of time I have no doubt it would eventually end up breaking.
