Cryptocurrency Mining

How is the ASUS cards running? The Gigabyte cards run too hot. MSI, XFX and Sapphire cards are nowhere to be seen. I want to expand my operation, and I can get some ASUX Strix 570’s which I will need to mod and undervolt. As we know, the RX 5xx is a bit more power hungry than the RX 4xx.
They running slightly hotter, had to use manual fan profile to keep them cool. Also only running 1625 straps on them, compared to 1500 straps on the rx470. Both of them making 165mh. Think you can tweak the 570 to also use around 100watt also.

Thanks, people hardly talk about ASUS 'powered' rigs. I am a bit pushed, waiting too long on other hardware may compromise my goal. Currently I am also avoiding NVidia until the new architectures come along, it is that I can cycle quicker with AMD hardware on the short-term. AMD also runs better on windows where the GPUs can be more easily managed, but I will like to go ethOS on NVidia hardware.

I am busy with something like this,

without the perspex, replaced with a cooling solution.

Ours is individual frames on warehouse racks, it makes replacing parts easier by enabling a unit to be swapped in and out of the rack instead of having the rack/shelving act as a frame itself.

Yeah, but my idea is a home based system, it needs some attractiveness. To go all out like Genesis, rack-wise,

Enigma is cute though

I'm also still looking for my own showcase frame as well. I like the perspecs idea to be honest. I'll play around and report back.

Nice, I like the setup :). If you don't mind me asking, did you manage to find cheap power and cooling as that will also affect ROI considerably? Seems like you guys have clubbed together to buy a couple of rigs?

Perspex is cool, but it draws heat. Doing perspex, you will need to utilise it in clever open spaces, not by restriction. Besides, these standalone and rack rigs are all about being economical. The quicker you cycle, the more you turn.

Just a thought: If crypto mining machines were truly profitable, wouldn't manufacturers be running them themselves instead of selling them?
