Crysis 2 Official Thread

sigh i was on, on friday and saterday but there where almost no ppl on our local servers :{ ended up
playing with guys from the uk who are all 15 levels above me but must admit the game is fun :}
 
I played SP campaign a bit this weekend.... Ahhh... I likey, I Likey A lot :) Will hit MP as soon as I complete SP.

As for performance, my 2600k plays it super dooper smooth, even tho I have an old GTX280. I run full extreme specs no hassles :)
 
Finished the SP yesterday afternoon, total time played 13hrs38min07sec on "Soldier" (hard) difficulty... now to fix my internet and get online
 
What is up with some of the servers leaving you in the lobby forever? We wait in a lobby, it says waiting for x number of players, x number of players join, the message goes away and then nothing.
I also get DC'd alot, losing all levels gained on the server.

So keen for this DX11 patch. Although I'm not sure how the graphics can be improved.
 
Wage claimed to patched the servers today, guess I will check out tonight. As for mweb, as long as they are not ranked, I am not going to waste time on them.

My previous post about not getting XP was due to being DC'd from the server... which happens a lot.

So hopefully when I get home from work I will find a DX11 patch and servers which are fixed.
 
I dont think the dx11 patch is coming today lol. soon I hope
 
I hardly ever bought retail copies of games since I started using steam. So when I saw that cna is selling crysis for R350 and steam costs ~R410 ($59) I'd rather get it from cna.

What is the difference between the two? Will I have to put the cd in each time if I buy the physical one?

Rather get it from kalahari, cheaper, faster and you get the limited edition + free t-shirt for R304.16

...and the difference is the one is just a hard copy and the one is a digital copy, you don't need to reinsert the dvd everytime you want to play the game, that was done away with awhile ago.

im on the cell c speedstick 21.6mb/s

having a problem seeing the wage and igame servers. i saw them yesterday morning but last night i couldnt see them anymore

anyone else have this problem with cell c lemme know

Cell C is/was up to sheit yesterday. Working for now though.

Lol I went past cna anyway to look at mobile drives and when I walked past crysis 2 I just couldn't resist :p

Oh well, I didn't get the limited edition edition / t-shirt, but this game still rocks! And it's just so gorgeous!
I started playing the single player campaign to get the hang of the game before attempting the MP so that I might at least last ~5.4 seconds before getting fragged :p

Which servers are the best to play on, or should I just pick whichever has the most players?

I would do the opposite, play multiplayer now so you are a noob just like everyone else learning the maps together and then later play single player when (if) DX11 comes out and all the bugs have been fixed.
I heard theres some bugs in the single player which cause all your alien nano distings to disappear (currency for suit upgrades) and some guys complain that the alien nano distings they do collect don't reflect.
My latest save game leaves me waiting in a lift for infinity, I had to load an older one.
