Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

Anyone having issues with NNTP / News?

DLs go full speed for a bit then just hit 0 kb/s with no server connections. Restarting SABNZBD fixes it for a few minutes, then same symptom.

Having that same issue now

It's seemingly an SAB problem.

Upgrading to the latest Beta (2.7.12) seems to solve the problem.

Updated but the issue persists. I'm thinking it must be something else. Both my private NNTP and CW's have the same symptoms.

Same issue with slow nntp speeds and I don't think it is SABNZB related; tested on Linux and Windows with same result.

All other protocols are flying; FTP, Torrents, http and streaming are all at full speed.

I have the same problem with NNTP, using my AH backup account sorts the problem out so something was changed on the CW network. I am on a capped account.

Is anyone on XtremeTTH yet?

I remember seeing a coverage map for XTTH a while ago on CW's website but I cant seem to find it.

Our 2mbps ADSL line (can't get higher speeds) is really getting to me.

Hmmm, I see there's an issue with NNTP already reported in here, was just experiencing the same. Has anyone contacted support and gotten an explanation?

Well if it's an IS problem, the problem is they are throttling because come outside prime time and line speed jumps back to normal for NNTP.

Think it's more as IS server congestion problem, IS NNTP server has never had good speed during prime IMHO. Alt servers have good speed, but as these services are automated - I don't really care, as long as **** works for me when I'm awake :D

Being on the premium news server all this time, I've never had to see below full speeds any time of the day :p IS server sure but the premium one, eish no

think it's 10, as told somewhere?

It's like clockwork though, full speed until like 8 or 9am, then half speed until 5 or 6pm and back to full speed. I don't really care too much as others have it way worse (like 0) but it is interesting nonetheless

Does anyone else here get shaped on streaming and basically any protocol in the evenings? Been happening to me for a week now. Im on the 10mbps premium uncapped package and it runs at 4mbps speeds from about 7pm to 11:30pm.

No, getting full speed on my 10Mbps line.

I have been unable to access supersport.com for a while now. Changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 and instantly it works. Wtf?

Nope, but I'm on a capped account.

I use 20 on the premium server, as I read some guys on fiber complaining about "slow"speed and they upped the number of connections.

I will do some tests later during prime time to see if I have the same issue, as these are normally scheduled for overnight.

Hmmm, now is this seacom break affecting IS? Crazy damn international latency since it happened ..... can haz failover please?
