Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

I was more than happy with CW and the 25Gb cap I had, the client portal is a mess with no links to make payments or not much of anything really, I still have a extreme home uncapped 350 showing up on my profile which was cancelled months ago, even though It's not active why is it there?, I tried to go to the link to do the payment for my upgrade which was sent to me by email, I am unable to to sign in because I don't exist, even though I can sign into my client portal, makes sense? Why not put a option to do payment on my client portal profile? Why make things complicated? I went elsewhere and was signed up in under 5 minutes with minimal effort. If you have to run to support every time you need to upgrade or purchase a product then why would anyone really bother with CW? But please, defend away, don't forget the tinfoil hats.

However I do find it a little peculiar that you would go from a 25GB to a 500GB one. Doesn't quite make sense so I see why they would jump on your as one of the offenders.

One has to wonder if you weren't purposely removed.
 
I have to agree that the admin side of CW is an utter joke and I can fully understand that people would walk away from them because of it when they are used to better.

The portal has never worked for me and has never offered anything of value. I can't get usage of any kind out of it and my accounts are also listed in a mess of duplication.

Currently my usage emails are finally back, but also useless to me as it doesn't have the required data included.

It shouldn't be necessary to jump on live chat or log tickets for such basic stuff...so it really isn't defend-able in any way.


That being said the Internet Connectivity is what really matters to me and that is styling again today. I'm sitting here at home in the "free" time and my Xbox is smashing away downloading specials at 17 MB/s while I'm happily forum whoring on the side.

Totally agree, I am more than willing to join up if they could sort out their client portal and payments, but until then, I have gone elsewhere, It just seems completely unprofessional, nothing has changed since the 1st time I signed up.

I had the 25Gb as a backup account, which was great when Afrifail failed me several times, unfortunately had to wait until the end of this month to join a different ISP.

Do you have a 200mbps connection?

They don't tend to actually follow up even after they say they will so best is to repeatedly prompt them until they do it.
 
anyone else having major speed problems this morning? (North West) Can't seem to get more than a third of my line speed.

I on the other hand have been getting the usage email however it says I've been using 0 data.. just can't seem to win lol
 
Sorry, can no longer recommend CW after noticing shaping on Extreme 150GB capped on premium HD streams, nevermind its 11:30pm Friday night. What has everybody fallen asleep and left their netflixing playing through all the episodes?

Full speed on WA and AH test accounts.

Will be cancelling tomorrow.
 
I'm on the extreme 250 GB capped account; this month I have done only 120 GB so far in total, but my account is shaped to death.
HD streaming is not possible; P2P is very slow at approx. 150kb/s.

The worst is that even in the "metered" time between 18:00 and midnight the account is extremely shaped / restricted.
That however amounts to me to theft, because I'm not able to spend the GB as I seem fit and last month I wasn't able to do more than approx. 100GB in the metered time.

I definitely will cancel today.
 
Anyone elase having upload issues on Openserve fibre? (or DSL for that matter). DL's are perfect...

Has been like this for a few days.
