This is not really a CW issue, but the fact that I'm not a Telkom ISP customer is relevant, I believe.

I've just found that my router drops out for a few minutes while the Telkom ACS server to configure it ("Telkom ACS server is busy configuring the router"). There is a section "TR-069" in the router config (D-Link DSL2750U). I found something about this on myBB, but it wasn't really clear whether having this enabled for non-Telkom ISP customers has any value. I'm disabling it in the meantime to stop the random disconnects, but I was wondering whether there may be a good reason to put up with this behaviour?

Thanks.

I've cancelled with Crystal Web after continuous and ongoing issues, and moved on to Afrihost (see how long that lasts).

Wow, very surprised at the 180 degree turn-around on CW feedback over the last few months. Was seriously considering them as a fibre provider. What happened?

A DDoS attack caused some problems in throughput and with packet loss, and support weren't very good at handling the comms around it to be honest.

This is my line right now:

Hmm, not all bad then. Maybe I should trial them while I'm waiting on Openserve to complete the last part of the install. Which account type are you on?
