Submitted my cancellation this morning.

Now I’m guessing the best time to sign up with Telkom would be a week before the 1st or so?

If your line is with CW, they need to first move it to the holding pool which IIRC only happens once the cancellation is processed (end of month) or you could ask them to process it immediately, then sign with Telkom a week before. You wont have downtime once it's in the holding pool, it's just in "limbo" where no ISP owns it so it should be a painless exercise.

Currently Vox is a lot better, rather go with them.
You can instantly use the data portion and have the line migrate end of next month when the line transfer goes through.
I'd be a bit hesitant with Telkom managing the line as they are the only ISP who needs manual approval for line transfer from the pool, rather than having it automated like all other ISP.

Vox has been very good, I agree. Telkom's offering is very attractive and if you don't mind the small delay in migrating your line it should be just fine. I guess it's down to each individual's preferences.

Exactly!

Cancelled and going with VoX come next month. Always the same useless "2 weeks to resolve" response. Blah blah. Rubbish.

Now to try and get one of those 400gb R264 accounts somewhere :D

R164 :whistling:

I would sell you mine, but I love these too much!

Just did the same. 270 ping at 16h30 just isn't on. Will also save me R120/month.

At first I shrugged this off because my speed tests are fine, until I noticed you were tested a US server. So I tested a few international servers myself (100Mbps Openserve from PE).

So, this is really bad then?

For the purposes of finding an alternative ISP, this is my total usage for recent months:
- March: 2TB
- April: 1TB
- May: 1.2TB
- June: 900GB
- July: 460GB

Vox has an attractive looking 100Mbps Uncapped PRO Bundle. R1549pm for uncapped Fat Pipe data. Does anyone know what the fair usage on these is?

Axxess Premium Uncapped for 100Mbps is R1699pm. Another option I suppose, but a bit more than I'd like to spend.

Its driving me nuts. And if you ask crystal web they just make our run the ping test and say a fault must be logged with telkom

My net was dead this morning, came home to cries of annoyance. Dead only CW side, it was authenticating and everything. Took a 15 minute phone call to get it sorted.

Great start to the weekend for us then.

Starting to look like all ISP's have capacity or serious issues in the south or am I missing something.

Nearly every ISP thread the guys connecting via CPT have issues.
