Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

Yep - they posted earlier today regarding some business account stuff but stuff their feedback thread...

I suspect this is as a result of one side of the business (in this case "Sales") not being privy to the technical aspects. Not an excuse, but a potential explanation.

Must be area based.

I've also had zero issues in months.

Area and a combination of other factors apparently, but what is certain is the major contributor has to do with CW's network and not the customer's location.

It was their management account that posted.

Absolutely horrendous performance this evening! Cannot wait until this Friday - if they STILL don't have this fixed then it shows that they don't care.

Haven't received an invoice yet, so I have no idea how one pays if paying by Snap Scan . Can I just use my @crystalpremium.co.za user name as I don't have an invoice number as reference

invoice arrived in my inbox at 06h30
I see mine has just arrived as well. What is going on over there. No usage stats, invoices late, still can't get on the portal etc.

If I don't get my invoice with Afrihost, I can just pull it off Client Zone and that's it.

Holy crap last night the pings were atrocious to EU servers. 300ms+ *puke*

Switched to my VoX back up and stable 160ms odd. 2 more days to see if they fixed this rubbish. If not...I'm gone.

Since when is 7am on the day being late?

Invoices are always sent on the first of the month, sometimes even as late as noon.

Anyway, got my invoice this morning, and I am still billed for 8Mb/s, even though I requested a downgrade on the 17th already, as I was told I need to do it before the 18th. Aijaijaijaijai. This is why I don't have them on debit order.

Yup. I don't have debit orders unless it's mandated by law. I'll take the trouble to verify and make manual payments over debit order mishaps any day.

Thankfully more banks are getting on board and making disputing debit orders much easier for the customer.

Jumped onto to support last night to find out if they are going to resolve the issue within the timeframe they quoted (and to lambaste them for the lack of feedback )

The indication was that resolution was near (no ETA, unsurprisingly), but promised to update the issue details/progress on their site. We shall see I guess.

Sound like a load of bull****. It's supposed to be fixed by tomorrow - if they STILL have no ETA then it's obvious that they don't give a ****.

I agree, at the very least they could have given us some update(s) by now. The 19th of May is two weeks ago tomorrow, and this "network issue" is affecting quite a number of people by the looks of things.

Seems like it's my turn to get ****ty internet connectivity tonight. My internet connection seems permanently stuck at 3Mbps, although the ADSL line syncs at 10Mbps. Go Crystal Web!

In 24 hours we will either see Crystal Web redeem themselves or see them become the next Openweb.

Go Keom... I mean... Shaun Kaplan!
