Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

Got my Line Migrations email from CW on Podio today... "Feasibility Check In Progress", whatever the hell that means.

Adios, CW, it was (mostly) fun.
 
Fibre line with CW ended as of midnight last night.

Switched to CISP and already seeing a huge improvement. Ping in fortnite has gone from an average of 160 down to a solid 130. This is from Cape Town.

Just out of curiosity, I went to check the portal again, and got this error:

So, that's the best way they can find to ban access to former clients, huh. :rolleyes:
 
Nope you can only access that site when using the CrystalWeb network - security measure apparently.
 
I haven't received a mail invoice like usually for june. But I was able to login to my account and I am absolutely fuming. Not only does their account show my june invoice outstanding , it shows the previous 2 day that I had paid as outstanding as well.

Send them 2 mails to their billing department totally being ignored....

So people who juggle accounts won't be able to access the portal if they're using some other ISP's data? Does that also apply when you're accessing the portal over a mobile network?
 
Or, the ddos is also targeting their portal and this is a way to protect it?

Sorry about that. At least you have internet and you can get a backup acount to browse and do what you have to do.

I have nothing at this stage. My line went dead two weeks ago, and have to wait for telscum to send out a techie as soon as one is available.

It would work, I suppose. Could still probably find a way to DDoS it despite the IP bans.

You know, by now, if anyone who is on CW hasn't moved elsewhere because their service is being affected, you're either very loyal or you don't value your internet connectivity that much.

I hit a snag with all the emigrating coming up (bank accounts in a mess), had to uncancel and stick with CW a little longer :( Don't make fun of me! :D I do have backups though but still

HAd a similar issue last year some time with their portal, especially as I was surfing (using IPv6) to their websites, and cloudflare blocked that... I just had to shake my head
