Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

I eventually got through to Evonet, selected sales instead of support.
Said I must send line cancellation to [email protected].
Told him not even to bother with an invoice for me. I am through with them.

I think you going to cause another layer of problems if you keep dealing with two entities. Pick one, either Telkom or AH and stick to your decision.

You sound lost...

I'm trying to join AH...but sorting out directly my line with TELKOM because nobody knows where it is! AH is unable to do that.

Morning guys :)

Just following this thread, - I totally understand the frustration in terms of moving your line. At the best of times it can be admin.

As AfriGuy explained, if your line has been with us previously, we just need to do a few extra steps to get the line re-instated with us. This is a relatively simple process provided your line is not suspended, and is already in the holding pool.

If not, we might need to chat with Openserve on your behalf and find out how we can assist.

The best thing to do would be to drop me a PM (or any of our reps) and let me find out how we can help.

We'll always do our best to help :)

Afriguy... the chat seems a bit slow to assign me an agent now...but maybe you can check?

"Thank you, the line is already suspended, meaning the request is in progress. will need to contact your ISP sales department and provide them with this number 0800222676 they need to call the holding pool department so that your line can be released to them again."

so just a FYI from my horrid experience, my line was apparently unclaimed in the holding pool too long, and was thus deleted. this results in the

"Checks failed
Unfeasible, due to a pending order on the line
Not Feasible. Other ADSL operator active.
Line is suspended
Not Feasible. Current product is: and is not associated with WSDSL. "

i was on the line with telkom sales, and the only option forward for me is to get a completely new adsl line with a 30 work day delay.

i honestly hope you guys struggling have better success

I have same CHECK RESULTS as you...but have no idea the line was in holding pool? only heard of that yesterday for the first time!

I think it's time to ditch ADSL and look at other methods, till fiber arrives at my doorstep as the fiber is rolling out in my area.

they are rolling fibre out about 50m fro my house, but in the wrong direction, so that not an option for the foreseeable future

Any idea when your line was placed in the holding pool? Theoretically, what happened to you should not have happened for 30 days.

none whatsoever, according to cw the line should be fine, according to ah the whole shebang above, and according to telkom, the line was left too long,

if i had to guess, this is still repercussions of the fiasco from beginning October

You have two voices then. Get Telkom to provide you with an ASP, or choose an alternative ISP.
Who is busy with fibre in your area?

l
Ja I agree. The October mess triggered the suspension, and when that was not resolved, the line went into the holding pool, where it will sit for a maximum of 30 days.

The response i got from telkom technical was different earlier on...

"Thank you, the line is already suspended, meaning the request is in progress. will need to contact your ISP sales department and provide them with this number 0800222676 they need to call the holding pool department so that your line can be released to them again. "

If this is true Telkom can stick their ADSL where the sun don't shine.
