Dear accredited journalists

Please note the following:
[1] That the press conference has been scheduled for some time during the course of today - in line with contemporary South African practice adopted from government and most political parties.
[2] There will be a light snack available for 60 people available after the press conference, only the presenters for the conference however will be allowed to eat the food.
[3] While we will endeavour to answer all questions put forward by any member of the press in as obtuse and non-answer manner possible, we reserve the right - in accordance with international practice - to decline to answer any question if we are unable to imaginatively non-answer said question.
[4] Promotional literature will be circulated to you. In accordance with contemporary practice we expect this literature to be presented as fact by you. Any journalist failing to do our bidding in this respect will be called nasty names.

Kind Regards
The PR Company

But back to the topic: we don't do announcements by press conferences (yet ...)

There is a little MyBroadband conference coming up...? Perhaps you should bother Cara until she allows you a spot. Imagine "An ISP for forumites, by forumites".

We'll be in attendance, but not sponsoring just yet. Need to get the fundamentals right before we splash more money around. :D

Like getting your speeds sorted (good news here), getting the proper launch dates in place now, and keeping you blokes happy.

If anything, MyBB should be sponsoring you :p

Secondly, you're hoping to keep us happy? You have about a snowball's chance in hell of that. We're a fickle bunch.

Does anyone else get packet loss to MyBB on "internet-solutions-gw.telkom-ipnet.co.za"?

My speeds are truly crawling today.
Started a PS3 game download at about 12:00 today, maybe a bit later. It has downloaded 1706MB/12GB since then till now(17:00).
This is on a 4Mbps line.
Please bring on the new solution.

So I requested to trial/test the temporary solution yesterday and I assume my account has been migrated. I didn't receive any official response from support but I did notice from today I'm now in a new IP pool (went from 105.233.47.0 previously to 41.177.47.0 today).

So far ...

The good: packet loss is gone. Tested with pathping to multiple sites (both local and international).

The bad: I now appear to have been throttled severely. Webpages take forever to load, and when the speedtest completes this is my result:
Download Speed: 113 kbps (14.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 129 kbps (16.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 29 ms

Switched to backup free GB account from other ISP's to confirm it's not my line:
Download Speed: 8500 kbps (1062.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 850 kbps (106.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 23 ms

Hi,

Yes, this is the transition over to the new system taking place.

Please can you power cycle your router: switch it off for ten minutes from the plug itself, and then switch it back on again to update the routing info and try again.

Also please report these issues to support so that we can investigate for you.

How will I know when to do this?
