I meant as an ISP.

What do they offer that others dont? Cant really see much information from the website.

They may be new, but we have learnt to tear into ISP's that under perform.

How about the first honest isp? :P hehe. Well I suppose still to early to say, they only officially launch 1 July, with about 200 pre launch customers to test the network, not sure if that figure is correct though. They took the full blame the other day for slow international speed. Sunday morning was a BREEZE though, could stream from some sites without buffering for the first time in ages. So looking forward to using them. But that said, 1 scenario here now. With them you must cancel by the 19th if you want to stay with your current ISP. With Afrihost I must cancel by the 25th. So my only fear really is that I don't have enough time to test the CW account, I cancel with Afrihost and get the same international bandwidth issue as now. But I am positive here though. :)

Not sure where the confusion comes in here but we allow you to cancel by the 19th of every month...:)

There are three aspects to answer to here:

[1] We have not launched yet, we have commenced with limited pre-launch trading; so far we have been truly humbled by the positive feedback and support we've received so far.

[2] We are looking at several Internet product offerings and services not currently available from other ISPs, some of these will only be brought to market a few months down the line. One particular project which is already publicized a bit is that we will be introducing access to a premier NNTP service. The consumer facing DSL ISP side of the business is a part of a broader business initiative that is being embarked on.

[3] There is currently a folding in happening in the industry which will lead to a reduction of consumer choice and lowering of quality of service. Some of our products will be very similar to products of other ISPs and other ISPs may adopt similar products to those which we bring to the market and this is a good thing: At least one other quality ISP in the market offers (i) an excellent support portal (ours is in development), (ii) 24 hour support (although I believe the support channels are less after hours), (iii) and month to month contract terms. If we fail to deliver a quality service consumers have the choice to move across and vis versa creating an ecosystem where there is constant downward price pressure (which can lead to increasing value) and exceptionally high levels of service. In essence colleague-competitors act as guarantors of quality of service.

I personally think more people are worried about streaming quality versus downloads. It is just much nicer to fire up Netflix or Xbmc, pick a show and have it play instantly without effort. Unfortunately with other isp's you have to hunt for good links. Example vodlocker works quite well with Afrihost and Nowvideo not, visa versa for mweb, but from what iv'e seen Nowvideo is EVERYWHERE. I think if you can get Nowvideo.sx to stream flawlessly like it did on Sunday you will personally have me as a client for life. My overall average usage for a month is 164.16GB down and 16.25GB up. I personally feel that is not a lot compared to some other users that average about 400GB plus a month.

Yep, with my brood, we hit about 500Gb per month. It is a mix between, browsing, streaming, a few downloads, P2P, but predominantly lecture downloads for the kids.

Looking at the honest CW feedback, it is like finding a virgin in a brothel!

lol. The 400GB was not aimed at high users though, I was just trying to say if you stream a 70MB episode versus a 170MB download, and can do it flawlessly that they can end up saving on bandwidth.

We've sent an update to all of our contacts by email regarding the international issue and some more exciting news...:)

If the account is still available, can I please have it?
Using Incredible Connection at the moment.

You most certainly can. sounds like you really need another connection. Please PM me with your details and I'll arrange it for you.

Welcome to the Crystal Web Experience...
