It's Ok Mr Crystal, I already put in a scheduled payment for my 10Mb to get activated on the 1st - don't go change anything now - I'll see how it runs, and decide after a month or two what to do if it doesn't perform ;-)

Be careful if you have a 25% discount theres no way to downgrade without breaching the contract :O

Ah. Well if you're sharing the line, then why not share the account too? 10Mbps is far better to share than 4Mbps, even if you only get 7 of the 10 meg...
 
AFAIK, if I cancel before the 19th, I am done with them by 1st of the next month. I have that in 1's and 0's (email)

Correct me if I'm wrong Mr Crystal ?
 
slasherjdc , you could always just do a setup so you and your roommate both get the same speed on the line on the router end.

Yes. You may cancel your account for the same month by the 19th of that month. We're quite confident this won't be used frequently. :D
 
crystal you don't want my roommate on your network xD

in practicality sure we used to do that but all he does is p2p all day long and always gets the account throttled to hell :/ as long as he comes home to his 1080p bluray "linux distros" he doesnt care :/

got the modem that comes with telkom accounts(dlink without QoS....yes telkom routers dont give that) and have a second cheaper one i use in halfbridge mode

you can buy a decent tp-link router for about R500 that will sort you out once and for all. I hate bandwidth hogs on a home network.

I'd suggest you PM kernel on the forums, he runs Uniterm direct, he can give you what you are looking for at a good price, they are very kind to the MyBB folk there.

Most modern TP-Links come with bandwidth management that allows you to split the traffic according to IP ranges. Just assign static IPs on the router's side and not the client side. That's probably the easier method.

kwl ill do that when im a little less tight on cash(just had to get a new 1tb harddrive and new graphics card(rest in pieces old graphics card)

EDIT:wait can it dial 2 separate isps though because i don't like being punished for p2p when i don't touch it......also i think hell be pissed if his p2p gets throttled :/....in fact i dont think hes does anything other than p2p -.-)

You can have multiple WAN connections and set certain traffic to operate via different ISPs accounts, yes.
