My stream also broke uo completely towards half time, very frustrating, especially if you try to stream from the BBC. Supersport was better, but international is still poor.

Which stream was this exactly?

Which stream was this exactly?

The Live stream from BBC's website. Also via the BBC Iplayer.
Supersport also timed out completely at one point and I had to restart the stream. I switched between the BBC and Supersport streams to see which one was better.

The BBC stream is HD, but I could hardly keep up with that quality, which is disappointing for a 10MB line !

Is there a difference between Cybersmart's network in Cape Town and their network up in Joburg? I'm wondering because my streaming experience hasn't been great so far.

I was on live chat but was told that they are unable to pick up anything their side in regards to the twitch stream that I'm trying to watch (http://www.twitch.tv/dota2ti). I was disconnected shortly after they asked if they could help me with anything else and I told them I'm going to test with my capped accounts quickly.

Now I know capped isn't exactly a fair comparison to uncapped, but unfortunately it's all I have to test with. Both my Afrihost accounts and FNB Connect accounts are able to handle this stream at High, and is barely ever lags on Source settings (maybe every 5 minutes there'll be a slight hiccup).

CW is definitely freezing every 1 to 2 minutes, sometimes more, and that's just on High. The only reason I am wondering about this is that others are able to Stream netflix/twitch/youtube at max settings and here I am struggling to get that.

Is there someone I can email directly about my account?

Updated: Oh yes, and it's weird that Youtube videos load and play fast and at good resolution (720p+ without buffer), but anything that's live, Twitch, or Youtube Livestreams, seem to struggle. The one site that I don't seem to have issues with is Azubu (thank god or I would miss all my League of Legends matches). Just checked this right now, Twitch streams freezing at Medium/High. Azubu streams running perfectly at High/Source.

CW there a chance you guys will be offering Windows VPS? I know it is not ISP related, was just wondering. :)

I streamed the Football via Acestream last night without a hitch.
The stream bombed but not due to CW.
When I got the stream going again it worked perfectly all game.

HD Stream

Ja, like all the stats looks fine, ping, local speedtest, and even Youtube is fine, playing at 720p immediately, it's just the streams like Netflix etc that are slow, and never is able to reach HD quility, sometimes it does, but only at the end of the program I'm watching, and sometimes never.

On a 10mb, I'd expect Netflix to switch to HD within a couple of seconds of playing. So yeah, not sure what's going on.

Apart from HD porn streams... How is the gaming + general surfing?

Weird, my netflix does 1080 some of the time, and 720 almost all the time.

Does it differ by geographic area? (I'm in randburg)

Still pretty bad on the Wildstar side of things, switching over to "unnamed ISP free gig" account for tonight. Again.
Can't wait for this fix to go live, CW get dem whips out please!

Had to switch to the backup isp as well as lag and ability delays made it impossible to play either swtor or eso. Everything else works fine but as I am a gamer this is a real issue...

I was going to drop this to CW via support, but then thought I could also possibly drop Star Conflict's name in here to attract more players to it :p :D

So guys, if possible, please can you also keep this game in mind when optimising?
I can generally play without issue until around 6pm, at which point I have to swap to my capped account due to the rubber-banding.

Proxy provider differences?
I use Unotelly

Yeah - using Unotelly too, using the JHB and CTN DNS servers.

Thing is - Netflix runs fine without buffering, no problem there. It just never switches to HD. However, I have seen it switch over once or twice but only almost at the end of a program, which is then useless to me, as I've had to watch SD for the most part.

I'm on windows 8, and using the Windows 8 Netflix app, if you hit CTRL+ALT+S, you can see the bitrate. Mine hangs around 1750 most of the time ( sometimes dropping back to 750 or 560 ), and it does on occasion get to 2350 and sometimes even higher, but only right at the end. What's yours get to ?

I dunno - maybe it's just me, but it used to be much better on a 4MB account with Openweb. There I got HD much easier on Netflix.

May sound like I'm a bit anal about it, but it's just that for a 10mb I kind of expect a little more ? You know ?

I watch on PS3 so I can't see the bitrate.
Maybe the win8 client is ****?
