Crystal Web (NEW ISP) ADSL Feedback

Seeing as customers are now publicly disclosing special offers after talking to me directly, we have decided to no longer extend any sort of special customised products to anyone moving forward. Apologies, but we have a standard set of products, as per the email, and that is it moving forward.

I realise that we are very open and frank with you guys in our dealings, and we often bend over backwards for you. When we do so, it's not for you to disclose to the world the specifics thereof, therefore we are left with no choice but to revoke the offer for custom accounts entirely.

Unless otherwise indicated by an official rep from Crystal Web or Crystal Web management, the available products are only those sent by mail from us to you.

they have fusion capped products as well :) unless the guy i spoke to got confused and then confused me
If they used the term "fusion capped", then I'm guessing that the rep was confused, because fusion is a sort of combination of capped and uncapped. You get a capped experience for the 1st 100 gigs, and an uncapped experience thereafter.

Edit: CW answered while I was typing.

Well done guys.

Crystal web already warned ppl to not disclose the private conversations but folks just don't want to listen.

Next time go **** in your own pool and please stay out of mine.

For the sake of clarity, Crystal Web offer the following accounts:

Crystal Clear Basic Uncapped intended for basic home use (lowest priority on the network) - starting at R279 per month
Crystal Clear Fusion Uncapped (Unshaped 100gigs free with every account and shaping on tier 2 priority bandwidth thereafter) - starting at R349 per month
Crystal Clear Uncapped Unshaped - starting at R449 per month

This is the product range available, and anyone can sign up using the following form - http://crystalweb.co.za/signup/

The form is still rather ugly - we're going to spruce that up a bit over the next few days.

@Crystalweb: are you sure that this is the right move here? No details in terms of pricing was posted on the forum. All that was said was that your capped product is more expensive which turns out to be incorrect due to the confusion of fusion uncapped.

Please reconsider this move.

Are there different levels on the various packages?
My email stated R429.00 for Fusion uncapped. I was quoted the same price when I confirmed the packaged via online support yesterday?
Probably line speed related?

Yes depending on line speed. The starting at price is for 2Mbps accounts.

Ermmm no offence , but I didn't disclose any pricing information with regards to capped products. I only mentioned that I think the capped prices that was given to me I think was a bit high. I thought the base capped products were always open for discussion or am I wrong?

Point is you mentioned details that you discussed in private which CW asked folks to not do.

Please reconsider this move.

Unfortunately we have no control over what people post, and within 24 hours people are already treading a fine line on this basis. I may reconsider in future but for now I am absolutely loathe to extend custom products to anyone, and have instructed all staff that they are no longer to offer anything of the sort to anyone until further notice.

If we had an element of control over this from a public perspective we'd gladly reconsider.

Understood.

Ja, now they are making me feel like a P**S for just saying I think the capped pricing is a bit high

To be fair I think if there are perhaps too many "special deals" being done behind the scenes that some customers may start feeling left out. Also as things stand now us early bird subscribers will be paying the exact same as new subscribers going forward in any case. Ultimately it's up to Shaun and Paul to decide how they want to run CW.

Yes, the base capped pricing still applies, and discounts are offered to those who bundle their lines still.

Massive discounts are available to fusion customers though (cheapest per gig rates in the market vs performance). This is one of those business decisions that may not make sense to everyone externally, but internally is how we have set things up in order to increase the priority of the shaped bandwidth for Fusion accounts.
