This is special pricing as well being extended to early bird customers and those who sign up now. If you grab them now, that's your price moving forward irrespective of price increases, in the same way that we ran the old accounts.

Look, in terms of the custom deals we did, some customers truly either can't afford the new prices in which case it's unfair of us to force anyone into that position. Ordinarily I'd say take it or leave it, I'm not running a charity here. But you guys are mybroadband members - a community that Paul and I hold dear to our hearts and the community that was the catalyst for this business' inception. So we bend over backwards to accommodate you guys. Other customers have very, very specific requirements that need a little tweaking to products here and there. Again, for mybroadband members we bend over backwards.

Also bear in mind that considering most customers are from mybroadband, we have on average far, far higher usage and therefore costs on our accounts than any other ISP out there. So grab that sign-up form and send it to friends and family for us and we'll continue looking after you guys as best we can.

And if I organised something unique and special for you, then feel like the VIP you are to us and keep it between us. We spoke privately, and I arranged something for you in private. Shout it from the rooftops internally, please. :D

Ok...I was in discussion last night about potentially splicing 2 types of accounts together but I guess that's not going to happen anymore looking at today's posts.

So in lieu of this, is there going to be an option similar to Fusion, where there is no unshaped (as much as I love it) but at least allowing daytime P2P, shaped to a certain degree? Because blocked P2P during the day (after the 100GB of course xD) unfortunately makes the package unviable for my flatmate and therefore not a future option. He doesn't mind it being shaped, just so long as he gets something going and it get's there eventually.

And yes, I know, spend moar moneyz. Unfortunately, budget does not allow for it (double what I am paying). The Fusion price is still somewhat swingable, and I really do want to support you guys. If we can't make the option happen, then ah well, it was good. EFT will be in today, and we can take it from there.

And unlike those that don't know how to keep their traps shut on private conversations, I do respect that privelage. I suppose not explicitly telling those at fault that they should keep the discussion on the down low (if it wasn't done) may have been a bit hopeful that they would at least have a bit of common sense.

We're testing new accounts over the next month to look at this option as well, but right now, unfortunately not.

But we've further taken on board your feedback and will look at some other custom options over the coming months in this respect. We're actually doing some very cool things in the background on this which I wish we could disclose, but not just yet. ;)
 
...does the 100/200gig also count down when you download from 12pm tot 6am?

It does. Changing it means we effectively give you even more daytime unshaped gigs, and therefore changes costs to us once again.

So the 100 gigs increases if it doesn't decrease in non-peak hours :confused:

There is then practically no [real and beneficial] incentive to use non-peak hours :(

No, the gigs don't increase, but if they're not consumed, then they're allocated to daytime use, and you in effect get more unshaped data in peak traffic hours.

We give you the unshaped data to use when you feel like, day or night, then the shaping side will shape to keep very big downloads to our off peak.

Fantastic. I am still here for another month on Fusion (will I get new details next month as I was put on to a new account last night?).
Some more feedback: The top up option makes no sense in terms of rand value. Uncapped Unshaped seems a better option considering it would be cheaper to get that while getting more data. Fusion literally feels like a 100GB capped account (better priced than most similar offerings out there) with a very shaped Telkomesque browsing / small downloads leash afterwards.

And hey, I know you guys are breaking the bank over there to bring us the best you can. Don't stop that. Don't lose sight of quality over quantity. The latencies are awesome. Streaming, awesome. I was a little perturbed at the fairly slow D3 update last night. Let's see how it goes next month.
