I have 10 tickets for the test @ Centurion for every day.

My holliday starts on the 15th... I am watching a whole test :D

Taking a reclining chair with and my camera :D

Durban still has all the luck with the boxing day test match most years! Yay! ;)

ICC CT had a couple more sponsors.
ICC CT sold the TV rights for a tad more.
By a tad I am guessing in the region of 50 mil more :)

R265-355 for a whole days entertainment come on. Save up a bit.
R200/R110 for your ticket
R65 for four beers
R40 for another 4 drinks
R50 for boerewors and buns. (food you can take in)

Stop being lazy and walk a bit further then you do not have to pay for parking. I have not paid for pariking at ONE of the 9 ODI / IPL games I went to watch.

Which games did you watch? B&I Lions? R1140 / ticket

CC final Tickets were R240
Semi S14 R220
Finals S14 R180

I went to all 3 :)

Please, you do the maths seeing as that is for 90 mins in stead of a whole day!
Dude not all of us earn enough to own a BMW or something. I for one barely get through my month, so paying these prices for a few tickets is excessive for me. If you earn enough to pay these prices - well done then, but I can't and I think that Cricket SA should really take into consideration that not all people can pay those inflated prices.

Sorry, but your TV rights claim does not hold. FIFA is bagging even more with TV rights for nexts years soccer tragedy yet the cheapest ticket is $100...

Only because most of the spectators would be either in Durban area or Cape Town area, so it would be stupid to have the test played up here. And also, the whether is a bit better around that time at the coast. The late afternoon thunderstorms of the transvaal can have a big impact on a test.

Actually the cheapest ticket is R140.

I suggest you check your facts before posting grossly inaccurate comments!

:erm: no cheapest is between 140 and 150 IRRC ;)

Ps Like I said save up for it. I drive a toyota corolla from the wrong side of 2000 ;) And I am a student worker..... Save up a bit. It is a luxury.

All this talk of ticket prices... It has always made me wonder how pricing is worked out....

Tickets to the opening soccer match at the Moses Mabihda stadium the other night were R20! Now how does that work? I can't even remember far enough back to when I would have paid as little as that for a rugby match!

And even before rugby went professional the prices were still far higher than those for soccer so we can't blame that.

It can't be supply and demand as I have seen many soccer matches sold out but it has been ages since I have seen a full rugby stadium, or cricket for that matter.

Have you seen SA cricket games in PE, they are almost always sold out. Now that big time rugby and soccer is in the city it seels out too.

On the Cricket sales slump, I think the biggest problem is that too many games have been played on the Highveld this year. The Champions Trophy was only at the Wanders and Centurion, the Pro 20s were there and 2 ODIs.

I think they should play 1 Pro 20 on the Highveld, and the other at the coast. Moses Mabhida in Durban can host Pro 20 cricket (just) and that's 70 000 potential tickets.

Yeah but Durban is so damn unpredictable with the constant rain and bad light when not raining.

Not complaining but highly frustrated when you spend a grand on tickets for the family, put in leave then mother nature sticks her middle finger @ me....

Oh well, test match I am only buying on the day of the match, weather pending.......

I doubt Durban can fill 70 000.
Only if Sa playing India. No one else will be sold out.
