Ok, so the compeditive match last night wasn't too bad. First one I struggled to get going, but the second one was a little better. My aim was hopeless however, and my spray attempts were dismal to say th least. I should have played better.

Pitbull - I see you deranked after the second comp. I see you guys however won the 3rd one (after I left). You are very good though. Won't take you too long to rank up.

Fulcrum29 - that was impressive. I want to play like you one day. You should be ranked way higher than you are ranked.

Urban - not too bad for a first time playing CS:GO. Don't worry, GN1'S and GN2'S are easy to play against. MG1'S and the like is another step up from there, and gets very difficult. Just keep playing though, the game will put you up against silvers, novas, master guardians and the like till it has determined what your rank should be. It gets very interesting.

All that being said, thanks for the two games guys, it was actually rather awesome. Next time I'll hopefully play better, and not miss all my shots.

Thanks bud. Not sure what the rankings etc are, I'll do a bit of research today.

Overall was good fun though, think I'll have to do some more today :D

Yea I was playing a casual game yesterday that was non-stop chatter. Almost had me checking if I had a CB radio plugged in somewhere.

lol. alright, well i'll jump on tonight and do a few tests... usually its pretty stable with no PL, mainly just a 150-180 ping... let me see how it goes.

It just sucks, it doesnt connect me to SA servers through "Find a game", always to asia, so i try the custom servers with no people.. anyway lets see what happens.

But we get lots of Mauritius gamers in our games... weird

Nah, used to be a good player. Nowadays I am average at best. It has been a long time since I played more pro orientated, plus I’m getting old (ahem, still early thirties though). There is simply not enough time to train anymore. However, I did not play at my best last night, had to put work aside which was on my mind and had been distracted here and there. My last match was atrocious, but I played one too many and the lag/rubber banding got to me.

I invited a player named Zazzzzzzz (or something like that), he is on average a better player than I am and my regular queue buddy. We are planning on having a LAN somewhere this month where we may queue again with you guys. Plus, we may consider introducing you guys to a proper locally hosted 128 tick server, then there are no excuses.

You guys should create a Discord with an CSGO channel so that we may hop in an out to check on who is playing where and when. I have one, but it is closed to the public until the community goes online.

E-League Valve CS:GO Major Stickers and Graffitti Released In Update

The popular CS:GO weapon stickers for the E-League Valve Major have been released.

The $1 million event starts on January 22nd as 16 of the best teams in the world converge on Atlanta to fight in one of the biggest tournaments of the year.

Just qualifying for the major is seen as lucrative for players and organisations, with special in-game weapon stickers released for purchase, and the proceeds being split between the teams and Valve.

For the first time, you can also get team graffiti that is sprayable during a round.

The stickers and graffitti came as part of a wider CS:GO update, that includes the ability for tournament organisers to delay the “No Steam Logon” error from appearing until the end of a round.

Release Notes for 1/12/2017

[THE ELEAGUE ATLANTA 2017 CS:GO MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP]

– Team stickers, stickers autographed by professional CS:GO players, and all-new team graffiti are available for purchase in-game and from the Steam Community Market, with 50% of the proceeds going to players and organizations. For more details, visit http://www.counter-strike.net/pickem/atlanta2017
– Team stickers can be used as game pieces for the Atlanta 2017 Team Pick’Em Challenge.
— Group stage picks can be made immediately, Playoff picks can be made when the group stage has completed.
— Group stage picks lock at the start of the group stage matches.
— Playoff picks lock at the start of the first Playoff matches.

[GAMEPLAY]

– Players killed during grenade-throwing animation will no longer drop a duplicate grenade if that grenade has already been thrown.
– func_breakables will no longer make noise when hits deal no damage.

[MISC]

– Added a server setting sv_steamauth_enforce to allow tournament organizers for LAN events to delay player kick due to No Steam Logon client issue until the end of a live round when tournament match will automatically pause and a round backup with all correct information will be saved for reconnect.

[AUDIO]

– Lowered volume of bullet-bys and bullet impacts.
– Changed default weapon near/far crossfade max distance so that a slight perceived volume bump doesn’t happen at crossfade junctions.
– Also lowered volume of distant weapons slightly to address the same issue.
– Slightly increased the min distance of the falloff so that 3rd parties can hear max volume at about 1m away from shooter.
– Increased the input curve amount so that rate of volume decay over distance is more pronounced.
– Added descriptions to many mixer groups.

[MAPS]

Mirage
– Fixed various spots where C4 could get stuck
– Removed some slight gaps in cover in Bombsite A

Nuke
– Fixed bug where jumping inside of Toxic in Bombsite B would clip the playermodel through the ceiling
– Removed vent-sound from top of Mini, Bombsite A

Cache
– Fixed sound-spam when shooting at vent in Checkers through a prop
– Clipping improvements
– Optimizations

Inferno
– Fixed some minor graphical bugs
– Fixed a spot where players could get stuck near Boiler, Bombsite A
– Added backfaces to gate used at bottom of Banana, Bombsite B

I reckon 2 beers gets you mellow enough not to stress, any more and you're just gonna confirm how alcohol negatively affects your reflexes.

Do people often just keep games open forever because I just encountered a person with more than double the previous most hours played I've seen.

Some do. I just close it once I'm done. It uses CPU cycles and RAM that I have a better use for.
