Yes indeed. That's what people told my parents when they spoke out against racism and prejudice in our country
Really? And why should anyone believe you?

What's your issue exactly? You are trying your utter best to insult everyone in this thread.

You clearly have an agenda.

Even if it is not impartial ?

In whose opinion? Moderation reflects the viewpoints of the forum owners. If a forum states that racism will not be tolerated, is it biased against racists? Some people don't seem to get the memo.

Let's just say there's a thread about political parties.

Would it be impartial for a mod to be a rabid ANC supporter ?

Hypothetically speaking naturally.

As long as he/she moderates fairly, who cares?

Because it is unlikely, i.m.o, that a rabid ANC supporter would make an equal judgement on say infringements made by a fellow ANC supporter vs say a FF+ supporter ?

Again hypothetically speaking naturally.

Would it not be better to have oversight from someone who is apolitical ?

Depends on your definition of rabid!

You are asking for virtually the impossible.

It is also why there are several moderators and a bossman. I'm sure they all have differing opinions on all topics but as a group they are pretty fair.

Just my two cents. A lot of the thread in question was incited and escalated by offensive comments from seriously and marine1. That is as close to a pure uncontroversial fact as a person can state.

I'm not saying the fact that they haven't been banned means there is bias. But I definitely can see how people might get that impression after witnessing their very active part in the ugliness.

You might very well say that, I couldn't possibly comment.

Perhaps but then I'm an idealist.

All I'm querying for the sake of clarity, is whether questioning a mods decision, and questioning the impartiality of that decison, is the same thing.
Either way, I would do it via PM or email and not in a thread or post.

As I've asked before... Has these remarks been actually reported?
