I was at the game and lots of Province guys congratulated me on the Sharks win.
Must admit I was disappointed in the minority who was booing while Lambie took his goal kicks though.

Not sure that it was the minority. No matter how many it is still tacky.

Best footage in the game - about 10 minutes to go and the camera cuts to people leaving the stadium.

33 seems to be the lucky number.

Last weekend both the winning teams in the semis got 33 points. This week it was the Sharks with 33.

And at every single ruck thereafter there was a province player ahead of the last feet.

True. If Kitshoff was no longer a part of that ruck then Bissie was in the same position that every player in world rugby is in at the ruck these days. I guess the only reason it went to the TMO was because of the ginger fat-boy. And it was then scrutinised...

If Lambie struggles with supposed big game temperament issues then someone's gonna have to explain those drop-goals to me.

I think he just had a slightly off day from the kicking tee, that's all. Which, these days, is like a normal game for Morne "omg Heyneke, your dick tastes so sweet" Steyn...

Pieter Steph Du Toit and Etzebeth must form the backbone of our team to win the next WC.

They both are extremely good players.

This has to happen. No other locks in SA at the moment bring as much of a buzz as the prospect of these two guys.

His kicking as of late is not on par with his earlier days I reckon, he use to be much better with the boot. I have no evidence to back this up with unless someone can pull up some stats from somewhere.

You have to admit, SA rugby is in great shape. We are blessed at every position and group of positions. Tight forwards we have the best in the world imo. Loose forwards we're a close second to the All Blacks but boy do we have the depth and talent to trump them. Backline is where we need to get the right balance, and we're not short of talent in that department, but we need the right selections and game plan. Meyer has not got this right yet...

Post reported - we need potty mouths like you off this forum.

Ok, JK - on a more serious note, it was difficult for me to care about the game. After speaking with many of my chinas through the week, they all indicated that besides 3 of us in our social circles, the rest are sharks fans. So, out of loyalty to them I had to support the sharks, albeit grudgingly.

Watched it at the Keg in linksfield where half the place was the mass of blue bumblebees. Then, within about 20 minutes, all gone. Left, dejected.

Well done to the Sharks.

It was sad seeing Schalk Burger trying to play rugby - the game is just too fast for him. So I hope he isn't in anyone's plans.

The pick of the province mob was de Allende. Time to retire De Villiers as well.

That was a pity. I think that was one of the best games of domestic rugby that I've seen. Begs the question - why don't we get that every week? Well, we know province couldn't take that sort of pounding - hell, the only reason why Kolisi came back on to the field was because Burger is too old and slow.

Yeah, Schalk has had his day. De Allende was great - he's massive for a centre - bigger than Steyn, I think. I don't agree with Jean though - he's still quick and is a very intelligent player when given the room. The Sharks didn't let him play that game though, and they also kept Etzebeth's magic out of the game too. And I felt marginally bad for just a second for smiling while watching Catrakilis stumble off the park staring into the fluffly existence in front of him. Clinical stuff...

Jeez, you're gonna get a lot of people that don't like that view but I tend to agree with it, unfortunately. When he shines, the light is intense but when he is dull, the darkness is terrifying.

He had about as average a day on the park as the other 13 Province players (minus De Allende). He had a decent Currie Cup imo. I didn't see anything wrong with his game until the final, and the final was more a symptom of simply being outclassed...

There are some pretty k@k rumors going around concerning the Bok team being announced tonight .........

Bakkies making a showing
All overseas based players having auto-ins
No one being rested

I hope sanity prevails and guys are rested before they get broken and we give some limelight and playtime to youngsters. However, it is HM so expect some young talent to be left at home and Lambie to get 10 mins game time the whole tour again.

Bakkies? No, I just don't see that happening. If he's in then we really need to question Meyer's sanity...
