Hi,

If i'm downloading a 6mb file using ADSL. (Telkom Fast DSL 348kbps).

The minimum download speed "according to telkom.co.za" for this package is 284kbps.

How long in minutes would this take?

Is there a general formula?

(size in kilobytes) / ( kbps / 8 ) / 60 = time in minutes (theoretical maximum)

you should devide by 10, not 8, cause of parity bits and other overheads

This equates to 9600 minutes. This can not be correct, can it?
