So as the title reads I am thinking for my next PC upgrade to do a custom water loop (admittedly mainly for the looks) but just have a few questions.
1. I see you can buy kits - EKWB Kit P240 (just an example) - are these any good or is it better just ordering the parts separately?
2. If ordering separately is there any where you can suggest looking?
3. I see Corsair has just launched their range Hydro X - is this something to maybe look into?
4. What case is best suited for this? I was thinking of using the Corsair 570 X RGB (the full glass look is real nice) but am open to other suggestions (I quite like the Phanteks P600S and Meshify S2 but not sure about compatibility).
5. I will most likely only upgrade the components end of the year and still deciding whether I stick to Intel or change to AMD. If I stick with Intel will only change motherboard and CPU (if needed).
6. I want to put a water block on my 1080ti too (Gigabyte GTX 1080ti Gaming OC)
7. I will first do soft tubing as this is my first time doing water cooling and then later swap out to hard tube - unless this is not a good idea?
I travel to Portugal and UK end of June so I can maybe pick up some items there too if it is easier / cheaper? Ryzen 3 Series won't be launched yet unfortunately.
Current setup: i7 6700 (non-K), ASUS Strix Z270F, G-Skill Trident Z 16GB (upgrading to 32GB - 4x 8GB) Gigabyte GTX 1080ti, H100i V2 AIO.
So if anyone has any other advice or tips please let me know also
