Cyberpunk 2077

So is the corruption based on the players personal stash or is it car and safehouse and player stashes?

I wonder if devotion was dropped from gog's store 'to enable' sales for their upcoming witcher mobile in china. Disgusting if true...

Why not remove it entirely across all platforms? I'll laugh if this starts happening on consoles and their next patch is only in January.

In the mean time you'll have to please refrain from crafting, saving too often and generally playing the game...

From what I have gathered the save game on PS is a fixed 12MB. What irks me is that the CDPR moderators who are managed by community managers explicitly said that the 8MB limitation is a hard cap which cannot simply be removed and that the same limitation existed in The Witcher 3, and round and round that conversation went in the CDPR thread until another moderator stepped in, cleaned up the discussion and pointed out that mods aren’t there to give technical support though it is a technical support thread. No further patches were promised until January and woila this patch drops with the highlight of the 8MB cap removed.

I am glad that CDPR remedied this at the soonest, that is if it is the appropriate fix… but I just think their community handlers mishandled the situation.

Time will tell, patch #1 which drops in January will paint the better picture in which state the game is in for everyone. CDPR removing, or, so they say, the 8MB limitation now does make it seem that this was a prioritised issue... I wasn't affected by it even if I tried to replicate the circumstances of others. If you go to the CDPR thread now, commentators are now at the point where they believe the compression of the saves is behaving erratically, but everyone is thankful for the patch.

Just to add, some people did manage to fix their saves by editing their save game with this editor,

by purging everything in the itemdropstoremanager node within the nodetree. Basically, an inventory wipe and some claim that you can copy the value from other working saves, but I haven't tested this. Hopefully, it is not needed any more.

Here is some useless information,
But I discovered that traffic lights always turn green when you approach them in a car.

Even if it just switched to red, if you come within a certain distance it will immediately turn green.

It's small.
But why do this? Most won't care, but it breaks my immersion.

You actually stop at traffic lights in open world games?

I barely even drive on the correct side of the road, and my car is often in flames by the time I arrive at my destination...

I never cared what color the lights are (in any game), so never notices it.

If I want to roleplay, yes.

What's the point in having this big city to play in if you are just going to rush through everything?

Everyone plays in their own way.

I suppose it's different for everyone. I just find it a bit odd when people expect a game to play out like real life. I mean you can shoot a guy in the head 5 times and he survives, but traffic lights break immersion. Try not to take it too seriously and just have fun...

Speaking of which I rammed this car which ended up on my bonnet. I just kept driving around with this poor bastard on my bonnet...

It really seems like CDPR should never have released Cyberpunk on last-gen systems. The Cyberbug apocalypse seems dramatically more pronounced on PS4 and XB1 from what I can tell.

How many people here having serious issues are not playing on a last-gen system?

Red Dead 2 runs just fine on last-gen and its miles ahead of Cyberpunk - no excuse for them to sell a PS4/Xbox One game and then say shucks soz we couldn't be arsed to actually get it running: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/ps5-or-xbox-series-x.1078709/post-26642600

Console gamers...

CDPR messed up their launch, but comparing how one impressive game runs to another is a very simplistic thing to do. Not all effects use the same resources.

Having many different animations for example will use up more memory, while having more particle effects could use up more CPU cycles/threads. Having more on-screen of both of these at the same time ups the usage of both. How it works isn’t simply a matter of cool game runs here, why can’t other cool game run here too. They aren’t the same game. The engines are attempting different things that require different resources

CDPR had an idea for what they wanted the game to be and they built it. It ended up being a bit much for ancient hardware. The Last of Us was a console exclusive so compromises would have been made during development (ask Naughty Dog about why uncharted 4 didn’t land up running at a consistent 60fps like they said it would, or how the PS4’s cpu compared to the PS3)

Why would CDPR make similar compromises when the PC exists, while knowing that the ancient and bad at launch last-gen consoles were on their way out? Those were afterthoughts and you agree, it’s evident.

TL:dr CDPR lied and tried to cover it up simple as that.

You don't sell a game on PS4 that doesn't work on PS4. Period. No excuses.

Now I just need to find out why my Cyberpunk on PC flatlines on launch...

Anyone have an idea when it will be out of early-access and officially launched?

at least it came out unlike...

Squadron 42 isn’t coming out anytime soon
Star Citizen developer, Cloud Imperium, has issued a new progress update on the title’s single-player campaign, Squadron 42.
The new update from the studio doesn’t make for encouraging reading for anyone expecting to get their hands on the single-player portion of Star Citizen any time soon.
Director Chris Roberts posted in a new update on the studio’s blog revealing that Squadron 42 itself is nowhere near complete.
