Cyberpunk 2077

Meh, don't even. Both GOG and CDPR have been cleaning up threads where people are listing their grievances with how GOG’s processing these requests. I have been keeping an eagle eye on these developments. Just show how that being the ‘good guy’ doesn’t always mean pro-consumerism, but I have brought this up many a time.

Remember how this was embraced and lauded, and right here on Mybroadband I even had a lol at this,

This is why I cannot live up to any hype and good guy campaigning any more. I don't trust anyone in any case.
Pretty much. I've also been "behavior corrected" on steam asking if anyone had reported the product as broken to steam itself.

If you really want to tinfoil it... then why is their score "stuck" at 3.8. That's like 76/100?

While the bugs have been slightly annoying I am enjoying the game. The story is captivating. I'm yet to finish the main campaign however looking forward to another play through with different choice paths.

Literally not one crash in my experience and i have 65 hours in the game, currently on my 2nd play through.

Why do NPC's do a backflip in front of my car when i drive close to them, I get Night City is a depressing place to live but geez.
Didn't you say like a week ago that you are not buying it, because it sucks and you are done with it?

And there we have it for the most anticipated game of the decade. The alarms were ringing for me when people were talking about the CP2077 optimised driver. In what world does a driver get optimised for a game? At that point I would not have ordered it even if I had planned on it.

I made the comparison earlier to Deus Ex and Daikatana, the latter also marred with huge hype and then many of the same disappointments as CP2077. Though I thought there may be some disappointment I didn't quite see that it would be disappointment and the mess it's been.

CDPR clearly released a product that wasn't near ready for release. These are bugs that shouldn't even make their way into a beta build. It's one thing to say we're releasing in a month and just doing some polishing and a few further fixes. In its current broken (yes face the facts, sadly it is) state we can only imagine how it was in April. It would have been known CP2077 would not be ready and there should not have been a commitment to release.

As for the peeps saying it should not have released on "previous" gen consoles, HELLO?!, I mean this was 8 years in the works for the current gen consoles. There simply is no excuse for how it panned out. And speaking of ambitions, numerous promises were broken and it's unlikely they'd be able to accommodate them in the future.

It seems CDPR has created this huge living world (though that's exaggerated as well by some accounts) but nothing to really take advantage of it and immerse yourself in it. That's like making a VR game and then only shooting targets that fly across a flat screen. There should be more unique story content instead of grinding. As I see it CP2077 might be fixed in 6 months time but it won't live up to the hype created and will be just another Deux Ex imitation except for story length, though Deus Ex had a longer main story line.

Sadly I don't see it as ever being an AAA title and A- at best. Yes, I know what AAA means. CP2077 doesn't justify the $53 price tag. I might pick it up in 3 years time for <$10. At this point I'm more excited about BG&E2 though won't pre-order but might buy on release depending on when it does.

Pretty sure I never said it sucks, It's a good game but a bit too barebones for me to pay R800* for it.

*Yes there are cheaper ways to get it but im not a fan of jumping though hoops.

Except this is what you said:
Correct, while it is a "good" game im not going to pay 799 for it, im also not going to finish it because the replayability doesn't look too great.

Once it gets to a price that I feel its worth then i'll snatch it.

I can afford to buy multiple copies of the game so it's not about price, it's about how much value the game is worth to me. Same thing about an iPhone, I could buy a 12 Pro Max right now if I wanted to but I won't because I do not see the value in that the prices expects.
So you went from not going to finish it, to being on your second playthrough. You're obviously enjoying it and are looking for excuses to not buy it...

Still standing by my word will buy it eventually.

Watch this space.

Where's the guy who said that each life path will ad like 3 hours to the main story?

Just started a new game with a different life path and it' more like 5 - 10 minutes then you are back to doing the exact same mission as the previous life path

It ads literally nothing to the game, except some new dialogue choices.

The Nomad at least gets their car back...

I've reached the point of no return and decided to first finalize all other content before continuing with main. 127 hours in. I'm getting sad as this is reaching the end.

Pending on your side mission status you might have more endings available.

Once you complete the game it creates a new save game at that point where you decide to do that mission which will also be rewarded with extra in-game completion items which can load to complete outstanding things or run around in the open world.

I had 3 endings to choose from with an obvious 4th if I ever do another playthrough.

The ending was so dull I didn't bother to check out the others though.
It is also very long winded. reached a point where I just wanted it to end already.

Which ending did you get ?

That happens all the time with just about every game, it's nothing new or out of the ordinary. Go check the release notes for every driver update.

Never heard of it before.

Can't remember it ever happening before.
Every single PC game since the dawn of time. Mentioned on every single driver install splash screen since the dawn of time.

Mention these games. They are few and far between.
