GOG isn't Good Old Games. It is GOG and will always be GOG, they simply decided to expand it as Good Old Games for marketing reasons. GOG and CD Projekt RED are subsidiaries of CD Projekt.

I agree, they may also do some next-gen console optimisations prior to launch. The Witcher 3 ended up being postponed by more than a year. Maybe Cyberpunk in Q1 2021, or perhaps it will launch with the consoles.
Remember, Duke Nukem was under IP dispute which mostly wrecked the title's development, and sadly the IP is currently again in dispute. Funny though, the Duke Nukem IP at this point is probably worth nothing. Rights... Rights seem to be 2020s theme.
I hear what you're saying about console optimisation. They would need to iron out the kinks for the new XB and PS as well as backwards compatibility.
These developers are real bad asses.
It's far from an easy task.
I enjoyed Witcher, but never played the Duke Nukem sequel, then, or now.
So a delay that's too long has massive negative perception for gamers as well.

GOG should always be the first port of call, if they don't have it then Steam.
Issue is pricing. Steam prices in Rand while Gog in $. So many occasions Steam works out cheaper. If all things were equal GOG would be the first port of call.
