The Final Fantasy 7 Remake was also announced to be delayed some days ago. Then the Cyberpunk 2077 announcement came.
I noted that some gaming media already had the game listed to be launched on the 17th September last week already. They knew, but it only made news when it was announced as such.
The Witcher 3 was postponed three times since it was announced, launched the next year in the February cycle IIRC. It still had bugs, everyone knows the Roach memes.
Personally, seeing to where Cyberpunk was moved at, this is more to hype the title up and to launch it within a window when the competing AAA titles are already out.
I pre-ordered Star Citizen back in 2012... How good is this title going to be? You know.
I don't know what to play in the interim. Doom Eternal looks good, but the game generally lacks replayability as with most FPS titles.

Since the reboot they made it a great series, again as the original. Glad to see how many top 1 spots it made.

Night City Wire has been moved back to late June. June 25th to be precise, and it is pushed back due to the Black Lives Matter protests,
and I wouldn't be surprised to hear later this month that the launch date will also be pushed back. The Witcher 3 was postponed 3 times IIRC.

Going gog.com route and not steam or epic for cp2077
Waiting sucks, but I understand that they are delaying due to polishing and fixes.
Won't help to release another Noman's Sky and waiting ages for it to be fixed.

I purchased it on GOG, but will be playing it on Steam. Yes, I purchased it twice.

The GOG purchase is more like backing the game early into announcement, and I hope that CDPR will continue their anti-DRM philosophy, however, I think this title will have online services at some point in time.Mind selling one of those to me if you get it?

Anyway, so why also Steam. Steam Workshop. Yes, it is that simple.
They said it will have a multiplayer module, and I guess skins will be sold to support the online component. I have a kid, it will be good to play this game together when multiplayer eventually roles out.
I didn't know that CDPR had an anti-drm stance. That's pretty cool.
I've heard bad things about Denuvo drm based games.
Lot's of complaints about RDR2 and Denuvo. I'm unsure if it's sorted now.
I prefer GOG due to their anti-drm policy as well.
Edit: I saw that CDPR said multiplayer for CP2077 will only be after 2021.

Did gog.com for reasons. haha. Well, at least the cd project gets more of the cut, also protesting steam. Besides I did say I'm going to test the waters with buying more titles on gog.com first, then xbgp.

I forget the details but GoG and CDPR are owned by the same people I think.
