Cyberpunk 2077

Journalists will include everyone like IGN, PC Gamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, Forbes, The Guardian, Feminist Frequency, etc.

Everyone will hate it or everyone will love it and maybe there is a diverse middle ground. All I know is, The Quartering will sure make a video.

Not a fan, he's the definition of dstv repeats, especially if he starts to get off on a certain topic rehashing it for maximum effect and clicks. I'd rather take AngryJoe (just as dramatic) over Jeremy any day or even linus. Besides journalists have been like reset era been driving up the wrong tree, right? Quite a few times they say 90/100 and it is actually a 30/100 title; baking it when it is not.

In any case we'll see what they did so far come the 25th. Can't be so bad, I don't see this going the Agony route where they literally say adult, then get into a console deal and delaying it claiming polishing when in fact they were busy removing content to appease their new overlords.

Even so (hopefully not) we'd just vote with our wallets, well I will.

Creators have to adapt to their market demands ;)

Ignoring genuine activism. You tell a lie long enough, you start to believe it; it becomes your reality. It is an illusion, sometimes it is pressure. Activism can lean either way, and creators tend to preach the popular way in alignment with their subscriber base. Marketers do this all the time, and it is a critical tool to expand or enter new markets.

Just to add, baking is incentivised.

Live Wire has started,

EDIT: I see the embed code haven't been updated,

https://www.twitch(dot)tv/cdprojektred

Netflix series in the making. Based on the Cyberpunk 2020 sourcebook, Edgerunners.

CD Projekt Red has quite a strange way of promoting their game. I liked the Wire and all that, but now they are hosting previewers on their Twitch channels which pretty much praises the game in every nook and cranny. I haven't seen this being done before. Normally stuff like this is under embargo. They are setting the bar incredibly high.

There are a ton of previews currently out from various reviewers. Some spoils the early gameplay, others highlight the game features. If you are planning on buying this game I would advise to try and avoid some of the previews.

They always have.

That and they actually bring the goods. Unlike EA, Bethesda, Ubisoft, etc, etc, etc.

The mighty has fallen at many times. Just ask Naughty Dog.

I am just surprised that they are going this early into previews with reviewers, and nobody has anything bad to say. This has also been a theme with some favourite developers back in the day, only to crash on launch day.

It doesn't take away, I have watched the previews and the game does indeed look ****ing stunning.

How has Naughty Dog fallen?

They crunch their dev teams much more than most other developers. Also fans not happy are very likely not to trust them in future.
Good laugh as if crunch is and should be a normal thing.

I've been in this industry long enough to see that crunch only happens when marketing/your manager over-promises, unrealistic deadlines, piss poor planning and/or going into the project with too many red flags. That is things like 'hey lets use this new tech', but you've never used it before and haven't probably investigated its pros, cons and capabilities only to be bitten in the arse. Of course, none of this excludes the dumping of n00bs in and as a team with the exec ordering product like cheeze burgerz.

Just pre-ordered for PC at loot.

Best price I could find at R729, including some random physical goodies which is a nice extra.
