Cyberpunk 2077

No Mans Sky is an example of a good turnaround, so I don't believe it's beyond saving. Whether CDPR actually turn Cyberpunk into a good game is up to time to decide.
Yeah man, people got no faith...
or it turns into another anthem. Quite unfixed and unloved.

It was like 5 years to create something out of nothing for nms? I'm not going to pay 800zar and then wait that long...

The person who promised to make Anthem a great game already quit the company, and the new designated lead on overhauling Anthem into Anthem 2.0 have already been moved to lead Dragon Age 4's development.

As it stands I would perceive Anthem as dead, but EA/Bioware is silent. This is what happens when promises are made, and people will ever stay gullible, however the player base have abandoned.

Coming back to CDPR, they are supposed to conceptualise their new AAA title in 2021, /cough, 'legal' promises made to shareholders. I guess a smaller team will be working on remedying the issues within CP2077. In my view I believe that the CDPR exec would move negative sentiment away by placing emphasis on remedying CP2077 or by promising a new and better AAA title which many believe will be The Witcher 4, but pending on their terms with Pondsmith (Talsorian Games) we may even see another table-top like Castle Frankenstein turned into a digital game.

As noted, CDPR CEO's in response to the lawsuits did say that they will challenge the lawsuits and made it clear that they didn't mislead anyone. I am sure they will do their best to both make CP2077 more compatible and to deliver DLC, but I don't think that they will hype these developments as they did with their road to launching CP2077. Their last social post was made on December the 24th.

There is a possibility that all DLC will be drops, but removing paid DLC may or may not impact quality.

Ironically, mentioning NMS, CDPR had an interview which went exactly like an interview with Sean Murray. Maybe those two guys are right in the video I posted, perhaps CDPR did change their game to better accommodate a central character which is Johnny Silverhand which changed the title's direction. It is all speculation in any case.

In general, the game is standing on its own, not the game which was promised, but it is a good action-adventure. Not breath-taking, not great, only good or so it is in my view.

Just remember it won at Gamescom the best RPG title in 2020 prior to its release held in August. I don't know what game they played.

Oh, my, I see the gaming media en masse have discovered the forum post allegedly posted by a CDPR game dev...

Cyberpunk 2077 Cut Content Will Apparently Be Added to the Game With DLCs Until June 2021

Cyberpunk 2077 Will Release Cut Content Through DLC, According To Leak

Rumor Suggests That Cut Cyberpunk 2077 Content Will Be In DLC

There are more, but I like the assortment of headlines. No pressure CDPR

Nah, more like :

Again I have no issues with bugs and glitches, game was fun and I enjoyed it. BUT where is this so called next gen game hype bois were selling for 8 years.

The world is blunt, NPCs are dull, story was acceptable.

Felt exactly like WoE and FFXIV to me. Change your gear and play around with different stats for better DPS. Go into stores and buy items. Accept a mission from a troll and go fight creeps. Just now in FPS style

At least with other games I had a flying mount or jets and helicopters.

I did find this guy explaining it better so I get some of the hate. But still, 200 awards before release - FOR WHAT?

I don't hate the game; I hate the questionable ethics and poor business practices. Personally, I won't excuse the production team either. It is business culture, a culture which is embraced by the consumer and perceived as good guy practices. Ironically, the lore within CP2077 questions their own ethics, it like they are riding their own reality on the consumer's back. CDPR had the media, the reviewers and the consumers in their pocket, now some truths are seeping out many which are vigorously dismissed by their 'brand ambassadors'.

CDPR is a big dog today, hardly the yard mutt any more. These companies are all advised on consumer behaviour, they know.

Would like to see in the future what the ex devs have to say about this screw up.

so not on your keep and treasure list @Hellhound105?
delete and forget it ever existed in the first place then.

Nope, I do not not have a treasure list.

I do however have a collection list, so its going there.

What is my collection list you may ask. Everything gaming I buy :) (Thats basically everything I buy or get)

Will put it next to my MMo's.

GOG have yesterday again updated their Facebook cover page with CP2077 marketing, and I have to post this comment,

Capture.PNG

3 Playthroughs...
6 Endings
200 Hours

Only now doing all gigs and scanner missions... uhm, there are 5 endings (with variety pending on side mission and relationship choices) and the 6th ending which is the so-called secret ending.

Shill.

People are, however, still playing,

Blue: Active players
Red: Twitch viewers

Capture.PNG

though the numbers are dropping as the holiday time is diminishing. On Steam, they have around ~150 000 players currently, and going by guestimate sales numbers I would say ~50 000 GOG players. I don't know how many consoles and EPIC players are active, but the Twitch numbers are dwindling, however, they only had high viewer numbers during the launch phase.

I guess Shroud was right, the game will live 30 days and then most will return to battle royale.

The game has nothing beyond the main story so there's nothing to do after that lol ofc it'll die out like every story based game. The only ones that maintain viewership are the multiplayer games.

Active and viewership numbers have a direct correlation with a production's longevity. CDPR, even in their most recent threads, said that the game is developed around replayability, oddly though CDPR have distanced themselves adding that moderators aren't representatives. Content needs to be updated, DLC drops are needed to add value to replayability.

Anyway, CDPR promised that multiplayer will come to this game, though I am in the opinion that it must be scrapped sooner than later simply because how easy it is to hook into this game and to exploit its ecosystem. It will be Fallout 76 all over again on a much larger scale, and CDPR will be damned by the community when they implement an anti-cheat. There is a reason CDPR disabled the debugger when the save game issue came to light.
