Cyberpunk 2077

I saw somewhere the DLC is 30Gb odd but don't quote me on that.

I reinstalled the game a moment ago. I won't touch it until the DLC drops, but I will be replaying the entire game next week.

The game's current installation size (Steam) is at 67,4 GB (72 437 204 186 bytes).
Thanks for covering it to bytes. That's really helpful.

I wonder now that I have an SSD to install it on if it will run better, like with Starfield it made an massive difference, even if I can only get 30 FPS

Yes, considering that Night City will now be busier and more badass I would strongly advise to install it on a SSD at minimum. At least as Forbes's Paul Tassi said in his one segment on the reboot, Cyberpunk 2077 is now in a better state than Bethesda's title.

It seems that CDPR worked some Ubi Watchdogs mechanics into their CP2077 netrunning mechanics. The more there is to do, the better IMHO. At least netrunner builds are now more capable, though the class was already OP it can now be better explored. I like how hand-to-hand weapons are now worked into the classes.

Will be at least a few months or year before I play CP again. Finished the game just the other day lol.

PC-SPECIFIC
  • Updated PC system requirements. A SSD is now required to run the game. More information can be found here.
  • Added support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.5, which introduces DLSS Ray Reconstruction, a feature that improves the quality of Ray Traced effects. A GeForce RTX graphics card is required. The option is available in Settings → Graphics in the NVIDIA DLSS section. DLSS 3.5 is only available if Path Tracing is turned on. To make sure DLSS Ray Reconstruction works correctly on your PC, update your NVIDIA Game Ready Driver to version 537.42 at minimum.
  • [AMD SMT] Introduced a new AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) switch located in Settings → Gameplay → Performance. It allows you to set SMT to Off (only physical cores), On (all logical cores) or Auto (ensuring the performance average across different locations and situations in game is optimal). This change was implemented in cooperation with AMD and is based on tests conducted on both sides.
  • The Crowd Density setting has been moved from the Gameplay tab to the Graphics tab. Additionally, Crowd Density is now tied to Graphics Quick Presets and will change depending on the selected preset, but it can be customized independently if needed.
  • As PC system requirements have been updated, running the game on an SSD is now a requirement on Steam Deck.
  • Updated Steam Deck graphics profile for improved frame rate stability.

I see there are people complaining that their game is crashing when they are starting it up on the new patch.

HDD?
Old save?

Interesting, Update 2.0 size:

58,8 GB (63 242 680 465 bytes)

The game runs without any issue. There are several noticeable enhancements right away. Old saves work.

Also, those who have AMD GPUs.

I checked it out now, and XeSS looks remarkably better than FSR. I hope that CDPR brings FSR 3 to the game.

Will play next week, but it runs smoother than I remember.

I am curious whether Phantom Liberty is already included in this update? I see the game does acknowledge that I have pre-ordered it and the Vigilante is listed as installed under DLC though obviously not accessible at this time.
