Cyberpunk 2077

The game is pretty good. This is my second play through, but I have days with a previous 100% play through. Is the game better, yes. I like it so much that I can't stop playing it. I wouldn't call it a new game or a relaunch, but the QoL improvements are very much welcomed. There are still some Update 2.0 things I haven't experienced.

I can't wait to play Phantom Liberty.

As much as I have critiqued bugs and glitches, I have done my part to report them to CDPR. The game is better now.

9/10.
I think it could have launched in this state if they didn't have to put any effort into the previous gen consoles. It would have also saved them from most of the negative publicity. Launching with bugs is common these days, but a lot of the hate came because of previous gen consoles...

Is there a game you haven't complained about?
No
Games cost money and I don't wear rose tinted glasses. Games will have problems and I will mention them

There seems to be a misconception that you cannot complain about issues and enjoy a game at the same time

I enjoy the game. Nearing 200 hours. But I am not going to bow down and kiss the developers arses

Back into CP2077. The update keeps on failing for me. I think its because I never finished the main game and am now just continuing where I left off. I'm cool with that.

The game runs without any issue. There are several noticeable enhancements right away. Old saves work.

Also, those who have AMD GPUs.

I checked it out now, and XeSS looks remarkably better than FSR. I hope that CDPR brings FSR 3 to the game.

Will play next week, but it runs smoother than I remember.

Wasn't cyberpunk the first game to get FSR3? Really thought it would be included with this update. Oh well.

I wasn't imagining things, the streamers who are promoting the game do indeed have early access to Phantom Liberty. Not that I mind, but it might spoil your experience. Regardless, once the drops start at 13h00 you need to watch them within the time slots I have quoted to unlock the drops.

I am not going to subscribe to these top streamers to get the sniper drop, lol. Odd move by CDPR.

Who uses snipers anyway :)

Ag, watching streamers is not something I do. Nor is it a concept I get :)

Yeah, well, it is still a marketing vehicle used to gate DLC drops. Promoting streamers is good, but it's strange to have drops locked behind paid subscriptions. I would much rather support a streamer that I wish to support.

I am not going to sub to a streamer like Hasan to get my drops due to his content being politicized.

Anyhow, I have already selected two streamers on that list with a low sub count which I like and will support to get my sniper.

If it was a sub I already sub I would support it but as none I sub to are on the list I won't subbing to them just to get some extra gear.
I did get the first drop from my favorite streamers channel.

I don't agree with how CDPR is doing a paid sub promotion to do a drop, but it is what it is, and I am in the view that there are better ways a publisher can support streamers. Yes, I know, many may be more supportive than I am in how CDPR is doing this promotion. Streamers who have applied to participate in this campaign are listed here:

https://cdn-s-cyberpunk.cdprojektre...ntom-liberty-support-a-streamer-full-list.pdf (PDF)

Does anyone know any local streamers listed there? Those I know and watch, and wish to support, aren't on the list. Would like to know whether there is someone I may support.

This said, I have spotted a local streamer or two on there, but they aren't promoting the drop...

Understandable but way overboard imo. Yes a lot are awaiting updates but a lot have also already been updated and were working just fine.

We are not idiots. You don't need to spoonfeed us.

My whole character is custom and was working just fine throughout all the updates, including this one. Now I'm wondering wtf it's going to look like when I want to play tonight.

We'll I'm not starting over again. I'll play other games 'till we can mod again.

For those who play the game on Steam who are already updated to Update 2.0 the Phantom Liberty download comes in at 22.7 GB in total. I guess the game is sized at ~70 GB though it also happens to be the size pre Update 2.0.

Another iconic weapon which is pay gated:

Another thing is that you need to launch your game through GOG Galaxy to get your in-game swag, but I haven't tested this with Steam.

CDPR having an exclusive "relaunch" campaign with Amazon to market the game is a bit obvious.

Lately I always get pretty worried when I see GOG has an update to Cyberpunk seeing as the last 2 updates were over 60GB (v1.63) and almost 50GB (v2.0) for me.

At least today's update is reasonable.

Lol, I won't be surprised to see the game discounted up to 75% in December.
I'll hold out for Phantom Liberty to be 50% off. I still haven't finished the base game, I've easily spent more time downloading and patching it and being in the game menu than actually playing :X3:

Well at least I got an acceptable looking character after playing around with the defaults last night.

Are clothes still random? Do I still have to go around the map and advance time at each store a few times to get everything vanilla again? Coz I have no clothes atm as all my stuff came from mods.

My save works just fine at least so that's a plus. Sorted out all my Cyberware and then made a backup which I'll use for future playthroughs.

Here's the Twitch drops btw :

Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Ashura_Twitch", 1)
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Twitch_Drop_Pants", 1)
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Twitch_Drop_Vest", 1)
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Twitch_Drop_Boots", 1)
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Twitch_Drop_Specs", 1)

Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Warden_Amazon", 1) : Chesapeake
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Nekomata_Amazon", 1) : Fox Hound
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Kyubi_Amazon", 1) : Chinook
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Grit_Amazon", 1) : Grit
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Crusher_Amazon", 1) :Redbone
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Ajax_Amazon", 1) : Pit Bull

CET's been updated (but still wip).

CDPR changed things up by making vendors more important. Food and clothes vendors do need to be visited now to best enhance your character. Perma boosts are also available at some vendors, but also all over the map.

I have had no issue with my old saves, even the broken ones. Some players said that their saves load as corrupted with the Phantom Liberty add-on, but I haven't experienced that.

There is a chance that CDPR might drop these DLCs with the GOTY edition they said is coming, though it is a may or may not situation. My only issue with the paid drops is that they gate content behind third-party services, but eh, I don't mind streamers being promoted in such a campaign, but CDPR is doing very little to promote the little guys, and they should incentivize the streamers themselves. Most players will sub with the popular streamers being promoted. The Prime Gaming drop is, meh, and I get it that many are already subscribed to the service, but it does exclude poorer regions, but hey, there is a trial.

Anyhow. The game is good now, so I can't complain, and I like it with the Bladerunner mod.
