Cyberpunk 2077

Fudgenuts.

Game is now starting to crash on me, saying data is corrupted and needs to be deleted and reinstalled. Which I imagine will load in with the new patch, which I'm thinking will then conflict with my saved games? SPOILER ALERT - doing the Chippen in mission where get Johny's gun and car.

Corrupted save data? If so there's an upcoming patch to address it:
  • Addressed the issue of corrupted saves on PlayStation by increasing the maximum save file size limit. Note: this won't fix the saves corrupted before the update. If you're experiencing the issue, keep a working save (e.g. resave it as manual save) till 2.01 arrives.

Problem is, if I don't want to load patch 2.0 then 2.01 is also an issue.

Anyway, went back to an earlier save, did some other missions and all fine. Started the "Chipping in"mission again and but it crashes at the same place.

Sadly. This mission opens up 2 game endings apparently, as well as gives you the items I mentioned before. Will just have to mosey on.

This is usually related to a save file that was previously corrupted or the use of mods. Save files, in the past, could easily become corrupted simply by populating your inventory. I believe CDPR fixed this, though the issue persisted, in particular with those exploiting item duplication.

I won't be able to say, IRRC, that the specific quest you mentioned has been fixed? I have only experienced one bug so far in Update 2.0, but going back some length of time remedied my issue, so something must have broken in-between. This is on a save file that no mods or exploitation was used.

Thanks, but I'm on PS5 plus don't have 2.0 installed yet. Just bad luck it seems.

Finished all 5 DLC endings this weekend. This was some of the best **** I've played in a long time. Story got tense af and characters are memorable. Endings especially was very atmospheric. "Somewhat Damaged" myself after all that honestly.

Glad Cyberpunk is going out with a bang.

Would playing start to finish with the Bladerunner mod change the game in any meaningful way? I prefer the aesthetic, but will it still essentially be Cyberpunk 2077?

It just replaces visuals and a few adds. Doesn't affect the game in any way.

If you want to then do it. Just be prepped to reinstall it after every patch, next one coming soon.

Why don't you want to update to 2.0?

As per previous posts, the update fails on my side, and I think its because my game saves would be stuffed with the changes made by 2.0.

I'll worry when I finish the game (almost there) and then the update still wont go through.

No, but personally I would only recommend mods for a second play through. At this time I would also hold back on using mods since it looks as if CDPR might roll out a couple of hot patches for Update 2.0 which may or may not break your mods.

Thing is this game's mods have far too many dependencies, and those are what gets broken every patch.

A single piece of clothing may well require 6x other mods to obtain and function.

I'm also playing without mods atm. Just used CET for a few commands (to get items exclusive to endings, can't get everything in PL, ...MK6 tsk tsk...) and then uninstalled it and carried on.

CDPR is pretty much done with CP, but another patch or two should be expected, one already announced.

Shall mod again one day when its done and dusted.

Going to have a bit of a sniffle. I basically finished the game, happy with my ending, but....

....game wasn't over yet; I'm driving off into the sunset with my stukkie, we having a good chat, and then, boom, game shuts down again as "data corrupted". Does it in same spot, just like in the Chippin in mission. So I can't really finish it completely. :(

Ok, so deleted it and am reinstalling now. Will see what happens, but then straight off to get the Phantom Liberty DLC.

People should (spoiler) post what endings they had/chose.

Ok, reload seemed to work. Patch 2.0 was part of it. The perks on my character had to be respecd. Game also tells me Phantom Liberty has been downloaded even though I haven't purchased it yet.

And now I'm seemingly getting some late- game content after I got the gold medal for completion. All good :)

But I will put this out there. This has been the best game I have ever played.

Awesome man.

This might be the week to start, I’m just a bit rubbish at actually starting games
And just so you realise, I played the entire game before patch 2.0. So hopefully it will be even better for you.
