I think CDPR's take on trans is quite accurate. In a world where you can literally change yourself to anything you desire given enough money, being a "transgender" person is no longer the special snowflake identity it is right now. Transgender identity has simply been swallowed up and chewed up in this kind of society because it is no longer any kind of behaviour other than "do what the f**k you want, its your body" and nobody gives a damn.

Author is perhaps projecting and wanting recognition from a game company in a world they programmed that is not going to treat gender choice any differently than an eye transplant

I wouldn't stress about performance tests just yet.
As far as I know the released code reviewers got is pre day 1 patch.

CDPR said that the day 1 patch will be mostly optimization so they are testing the performance on unoptimized builds.

I only agree with one part, that the testing should wait. CDPR have said many things, and have made 180s on promises they have made to the community, but they are still the 'good' guys (like GabeN), and their community will still happily go down onto their knees - Just see the rage aimed at the PC Gamer review. Currently, a great deal is made about the DRM, and yes, DRM can be badly implemented as shown here,


but in most modern cases, the latest titles, it is having an impact anywhere between 0.01-10%. IIRC, Denuvo Anti-Cheat impacted Doom Eternal with a solid 6% on average. Yes, it is high, but to get CP2077 back in line with CDPR's own recommendations then the Day 1 patch needs to remedy a lot, however, it could also be that CDPR's recommendation are aimed at 30-60FPS so the patch would beg more stability than more FPS.

I have only seen the PS gameplay, and the FPS didn't look stable at all, but as I also pointed out it could also have been the screen recording.

Nonetheless, everyone who wants to play the game will eventually play it. What we do know is that the game likes more CPU cores and behave much better on 8-core/16-thread than 4-core/8-thread CPUs which is the most important takeaway here irrespective to which state the game is in.

What the game needs now is a GPU optimised driver update and a patch (which should have been rolled out in the pre-load already).

Anyway, not much longer to go any more.
 
Question: Will there be Anti cheat for PC and CP2077 ?

The game is a single player game, maybe the multi player version I can understand but why the single game ?

Why would the single player have an anti-cheat? This is Denuvo DRM.

Denuvo have only once implemented an anti-cheat and that was with Doom Eternal and it didn't go down well.
 
I don't know about Nvidia, however I know they are working on improved CP2077 support, but AMD's optimised driver dropped today, adding both RX 6900 and CP2077 support :thumbsup:
 
Game sounds short.
So far most reviewers state you can finish the main story and most of the major side quests within 40 - 50 hours.

That's dreadfully short for a open world RPG
Especially since the main story alone in Witcher 3 would take you the same amount of time.

Yeah though they all said the prologue of the game is around 5 or 6 hours (part of the 20 hour main quest) which would be different for each of the 3 starting characters. So if you play another character, a large part of the game will be completely new.

Sort of how Dragon Age Origins has 6 different prologues, one for each race/class type. Just a lot meatier.

Playing devils advocate, it's essentially a review from someone who doesn't like RPGs. She just blasted through the main quest and ignored every side mission and game options like crafting. Many people are like this so the review gives them an idea whether they will like Cyberpunk.

Yeah but I mean, are you going to let someone review a golf kit if they hate playing golf?
