Cyberpunk 2077

I am watching both Shroud's and Alanah's gameplay now. I don't know at what spec Shroud's PC is at, but it should be high-end. Alanah said a moment ago that she uses a 3070.

Shroud's game looks to be set to something very high, and is mostly smooth. Alanah said she is playing at 1080p medium I think, and... best to wait on user reviews.

I have seen various streams which looks like motion blur is enabled, I hope that it is motion blur that I am seeing…
 
So I got an email that Fedex is shipping my order. Was confused as ****, then realised I ordered a physical thing which comes with some stuff. Noice.

The game comes with the following physical items:
  • Case with game code and soundtrack CD's
  • World Compendium detailing the game’s setting and lore
  • Postcards from Night City
  • Map of Night City
  • Stickers

Digital goodies included:
  • Game soundtrack
  • Art booklet featuring a selection of art from the game
  • Cyberpunk 2020 sourcebook
  • Wallpapers for desktop and mobile
 
Looks like a patch was pushed overnight, my Xbox version now sits at V1.0.0.6 (prev 1.0.0.5) and 59.3GB (prev 59.5GB).

If this game turns out to be awesome AF I might just order 2 additional physical copies, one to open and one to keep as a display.

But hotdamn the Collector's Edition looks awesome

Everything basically, the awesome visuals/layout of the city, the ability to mod the character, the interaction with the other characters, the different life paths, the FPS and RPG elements, FML... just everything.

All in all the immersion, this game will be awesome with my X2HR's and the reason why I got them to play such immersing games. I am currently watching Shroud play CP2077, and though I believe many will be unhappy with themselves in the hardware department, the game looks great, but a lot which is happening in this game have already been done by other games hence I hope that I will be sold on the lore, but the game world is captivating and unique to Cyberpunk (1988) which give it originality.

Now that I have seen how the game plays on PC, I am happy.

Just to give note, I have seen various streamers play the game at low-medium 1080p settings, because reasons, but it looks very much the same as the leaked version which was played on the PS4. Graphically I believe everyone will be happy.

Maybe you will be lucky and receive the collectors' edition by mistake. I know a person whom in this week received his 3080 in the post, only to open up the box and a 3090 appeared. I don’t know whether he will ship it back though :ROFL:
 
so now I will ask fulcrum, what game is cyberpunk 2077 most similar to that you've played before,

Im trying to remember another game I played previously with corporations and augmentations, and a very sci-fi nature to it.
and one of the corporations strangely enough based in Johannesburg,

but the name escapes me now.

from what youve seen is Cyberpunk similar or not to that?

It is Gamespot's rating, and you seem to have a problem with that. Reviewers are people like you, with the exception that they have a medium to publish their views on.

I think I take some exception to her review in that there is a complete void of self awareness here.
She's literally describing life, Cyberpunk life, where who you are inside does not always reflect in the outcomes of the world around you.
That life in general is about the slog. You know you should be doing <Main quest storyline> but get distracted by <sidequests>.

The superfluous veneer she points out that glosses over everything is conceptually pretty damn good. You don't matter the world says, just like everything that you want to matter, doesn't.

The very basis of this RPG, this world... is to not care about you and what you want. You're going to get used and abused, chewed and spat out... unless you make things better for yourself.
Just like all these people trying to put snowflake ideals into well advertised uncaring world.

She has a point though, it would be cool to delve into the cultures of the gangs with rich back stories but I also know that's a shitload of content that will take a LONG time to put into the game. So it's a bit of an unreal expectation.

All in all I think she missed out on some real existential lessons both in the cyberpunk world and out.

Says the reviewer on a deadline rushing to complete the game to get the article out and published. Perhaps the urgency was not in the games storyline? :unsure:
