Cyberpunk 2077

On what difficulty are you lot playing on? There are some areas in this game which is way too tough for me at the moment.

Has anyone downloaded any patches after the initial download of the game? And how big were they? I don't want to download 60GB and then have to download another 45GB patch a day later.
My steam download was 57.3GB

No patch

I'm on normal and most side quests show up as very dangerous.

The harder the difficulty of your game the higher the multiplier of your enemies and the higher the penalty of your player. I am just a point where I cannot do some police scanner missions due to the one-hit deaths.

I also have two side-gigs at the moment in an uncompleted state, these missions are finished, but it doesn't trigger as finished. The Division 2 comes to mind...

Any mini review here?
Those with the game, does it meet expectations?
Oh yes ... Problem with hype is that it barely lives up to expectations. I can comfortably say this game so far lives up to the hype... Yes graphics are next level and nothing like it at the moment. But the painstaking effort the devs took to create the world is felt. Lots of small details everywhere. The detail in the buildings the streets ... The lighting of the atmosphere... Fog everywhere *looks at my GPU like a proud father *

The story telling is amazing and the animations are just great. Then there is the sound score. With a decent set of speakers its really created this sense of realsism. Would not think sound can be so strong. All of it just sucks you into the world. I dont use the car i walked around alot (like I do in real life in the asian countries ive been to) Just want to keep exploring the city... When devs create such games of such quality we should keep supporting them ... please anyone thinking of just pirating the game ... Please dont. Buy it ... Its a proper labour of love this from CDPR. Everyone should play it at some point

As much as I like the audio and atmosphere in the game I am in the opinion that it is another element which is unbalanced in the game. It is simply too loud, and because of that defeats the use of audio in places being too powerful which is not realistic at all IMHO, even if adjusted in the game menu.

Which sounds do you find too loud?

I haven't noticed an issue with the sound at all.

I've got a GTX670.

I see myself tweaking a bit to be able to play it. I'm not in a rush though. I think I'll wait a bit before getting it.

Good review though. Thanks for it.
How large is the installation size?

The game runs and looks like a potato on anything less than a 2070S. I'm on a 1070 and it's definitely struggling with settings turned down. I don't believe its anywhere near optimised yet.

You don't think it looks okay on your 1070? What are your settings?

The music in general.

I currently have my music and car radio set to 30%.

In-game if I walk past the smallest boom box I get blasted away, sounding as if I am right next to a club speaker which drowns out everything around it. That is immersion breaking.

It looks terrible to me on lower settings. It feels like I'm playing an early 2000s game with the settings dialed down just so I can get an acceptable frame-rate. Mixture of shadows on low and others medium, 1080P. Average 50fps. Screenshot below.20201210213522_1.jpg

What CPU Have you got?

I've got a GTX1060 and run it fine on medium to high.
Not a single setting on low (except stuff like volumetric clouds and fog which you barely notice anyway)

I'm using the 5.1 setup and have not felt the sound was overbearing. Or voices feeling too garish. Yeah in a club it is boomy. But that's how clubs are... In car music ... Has been fine. Maybe others can chime in here.. My speakers have been calibrated for distances etc
