The game was received well, but as many who liked as many didn't like it. An acquired taste.

What I am talking about is the game world which Ubi created, it is very much alive.
The first Watch Dogs had a great world. One of the better open world cities. The second game/city just didn't do it for me. Haven't tried Legion yet

That is one of the things I would like to explore and compare. For now I'm going to look into gtaV, jakuza like a dragon and rdr2 starting with rdr2 probably. I did enjoy rdr1 a lot when I had my x360...

Night city is a disappointment. I tried to cause a mass riot at city hall and the police shredded me apart :crying:

Yakuza is on my wishlist, loved the previous games, but this isn't a game which will be widely appreciated. A big, but niche market.

RDR2 is great, but I don't think the game was distributed on PC as wide as on PS. Hardly anyone who is a PC gamer that I know have played RDR2.

When it comes to landscape. Death Stranding has nailed it, plus the atmosphere, but the world is dead and it is supposed to be dead. Then there is Anthem which have a world which is an absolute marvel to look at, but we all know how that game ended up, and to think I have close to 50hrs in that game :giggle:

Just a quick hint, for those who seek an early hookup, that first corpo woman, if you side with her she will make an arrangement

I didn't go down that route.

Why the hell not? Screw the story, if there's a chance to snag some poon you take it - real life or game life...

I already went down another path, currently exploring the multiple decisions in this game and how it impacts your game.

Pending on the path you choose, you will have a unique introduction, an additional and unique dialogue option which opens up choice in your missions and allegiances (which will impact your game's closure) and a unique vehicle (not the one you begin with). Also... your body type, it impacts your decisions.

Having finished.... a few hours now... I get why they're not pushing for MP... deck loadouts would need serious rebalancing alongside weapon DPS output... because being able to render opponents deaf, dumb and blind with 100% chance makes for some very janky gameplay...

In addition, whilst I get why it is so scarce, the BD mechanic could do with a lot more love...

Also, Skippy is still an a-hole....

..just to add, with zero spoilers, the story-telling is as top-notch as usual. I've managed to roll a char I've started to hate because I'm ignorant about how things really work in NC and my decisions have had some... terrible consequences... which is awesome....

Those who claim the game takes 20hrs to complete did no main mission side branching, and I am not talking about side missions here. Opening up all main decisions probably expands the game to 35-40hrs, add the side missions and you have an 80-90hrs game. This is ignoring the side gigs and other side content. 110hrs-130hrs pending on how you play. This is where I have it at the moment going by my own rate which is both quick and thorough, and more options may still open up as I haven't completed everything, yet.

Either the reviewers didn't have enough time to get a comprehensive review out on d-day, or they didn't explore their available options. Yes, there are RPG elements, but it isn't a aRPG. You can mould your outcome, but you cannot mould your own character and this is where the game is muddied as an RPG, but playing long enough now I can say that it can warrant as a limited RPG.

So finally got to play Cyberpunk 2077 loaded in my old skedonk, 8gb ram core I3 and a rx 460.

Actually was expecting a lot worse, frame rate stayed between 30 and 40, except during cutscenes, when it stuttered a bit at 16.

Honestly was expecting a lot worse, but it's definitely playable, glad I listened to everybody who advised driver updates and upgrades to the game, patched to v4

What do I think of it? don't hate me here, but on initial 2 hour stint and first mission with Sarah Dorsett, a lot like GTA 5, yes yes I know
It's a rpg, but some of the open world elements reminded me a bit of how GTA plays.

Also some of the art style reminded me of sleeping dogs, quite a bit of asian influences.

Combat isn't bad, expecting far cry 5 levels of combat /stealth but much more clunky.

Did have a laugh with the commercials on v's TV

Public service announcement on how to deal with the ncpd, loved the part at the end with
"Don't forget to donate generously to the brave officers of the ncpd" WTF

Did they just ask for a bribe, is the most politically correct way I've ever heard.

And here I was thinking JMPD asks for bribes a bit more subtly, guess NC and JHB have more in common that I realized.

Looks like I'm going to enjoy the game, glad I'm able to with my current setup, was sure I was way out of my depth with my ancient hardware,
But it still ran well enough to enjoy where the game is going.

Last time I saw such reviews like the ps4 ones was with No Man's Sky.

Anyone remember this? Still one of the most hilarious vids I've ever seen
